I looked up what the symbol for 20th anniversary was and it said: "traditional gift is china, and the modern 20-year anniversary gift is platinum." Well for 20 years of Hightower, Im hoping  all their albums go triple platinum and the band gets a world tour ending in China. Dave Fallis, Jake Palladino, Shane Medanich have all three been bros for days and their band Hightower has been 'instrumental' in many a SF party and beyond. I first met Alana at the training compound down in Mesa, AZ several years back. I remember filming her do a perfect tre-flip which went nuts on the Thrasher instagram. Since then I've got to get to know her better from seeing her at most of the contests and when I'm down in Arizona. She’s a member of the very small group of girls that have landed a 540 on vert, she's skated the mega, also got the Silver medal in her first X Games at the age of 12, and won the Combi Classic in 2015. Been hoping to get our schedules in line for a while and I'm stoked it all worked out. Hope you all enjoy this one, Alana is a ruler!

Joey has been the lead singer for the legendary punk band D.O.A. for over 40 years and is currently the city concillor in Burnaby, BC Canada. We sprinkle a little politics in but mostly we discuss early life in Canada, starting a band, playing their first show in SF and meeting Jello Biafra, and more. We also listen to some of his favorite songs from the band with little stories about each one and we end the conversation with a discussion on our thoughts about the greatest American punk band of all-time.
