I talk about how I got the full-time job with Mt. Mary University!  I now have benefits, vacation time, sick pay, etc.  I feel excited and grateful that this offer was extended to me.  I feel validated after years of being a stay-at-home mom.

I talk about how I feel like I splurged a little with the kids over the weekend and bought a few things that Henry needs to set up his studio and we ate out and generally had a fun afternoon shopping.  I am trying to reconcile being frugal with having a little breathing room where my finances are concerned.  It's really nice to be able to buy myself some of my beloved (and super cheesy) Hallmark Keepsake ornaments.

I talk about how lovely it was to have a deep and caring energy clearing with my friends Meg and Stephanie.  I hadn't talked to Stephanie in a while and it was wonderful reconnecting with her.  The energy was so amazing last night and I'm so grateful for my talented friends and the ability to work with them.

I talk about how the entire student body was told to go home at noon and stay there until next Monday due to the expected civil unrest that will result from the Tosa police office Joe Mehsa's probable acquittal for killing a black teen in February.  This news will not sit well with people.  This is this officer's third career shooting and second death.  The boy was only 17 and people are angry and want this officer fired, at the very least.

I talk about how the kids were so excited when they got to see the house on Monday night.  They love it as much or more than I do and can't wait to buy it.  I'm doing everything I can to hand in all the necessary paperwork so I can get preapproved for a mortgage and buy our house!

I talk about how I absolutely love that house.  When I left I was in tears because it felt so right and is just perfect for me and the kids.  I can't wait to show them.  It has so much storage and it's beautiful and it has new windows.  I can move right in without a problem or take some time and do some cosmetic work.  It's all good either way.  

I talk about how I'm finally going to go see the inside of the house that the kids and I can't stop thinking about or visiting.  I apologize in advance for cutting the recording short.

I talk about how I've started carrying tension in my body since my job began and how my lips hurt and it's annoying.  I don't know how to clear it effectively.  It's partially from wearing the mask and physically shutting my mouth so the mask stays on properly, but it's also from me disapproving all the fear I see expressed around me by the students and staff.

I talk about how I've been feeling unmotivated and blah this week.  I don't know if it's because of the job settling in, the weather or because I signed my divorce papers.  

I talk about what happened the night I signed the divorce papers -- I thought I was fine and ok, but I really wasn't.  I kind of freaked out and thought Henry was missing his driver's ed appointment and wound up running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  And all for nothing!  The appointment was scheduled for the next day....  That's when I realized I was more upset about signing the papers than I was letting myself know.
