A double episode this week as Barry chats to two guests; Shane Rigney and Mark J. Fanning.

First up Shane chats to Barry about the Time Greyhound Nutrition Cork Cup which got underway last weekend. Shane is part of the team in Time who are proud sponsors of the competition and they look forward to a few great weekends ahead in Curraheen Park.

Barry then chats to Mark about the Champion Stake in Thurles as they look forward to the Semi-Finals. Mark also chats a bit about how he got involved in commentating in the Tipperary venue and his background in greyhound racing.

This week Barry chats to legendary greyhound and horse trainer, Paul Hennessy.

They talk training, current competitions and even touch on horses. He gives a run through of the dogs in the Time Greyhound Nutrition Cork Cup and leaves us with his hopes for the coming year including a potential run in the English Derby!

Liam chats about the Nolan C.V.R.T. Test Centre Kerry Oaks which is currently ongoing at Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, giving a run through of the dogs in the competition. They also discuss the Rural Kennels Unraced Stake and the Juvenile Classic.

Barry McSweeney chats about the Curraheen Park Track Supporters Club and the fantastic work they do for the sport. He tells us about the growth of the club with a further 89 members joining in 2023 and giving out approximately €90,000 in prize money.

Barry chats to 2 guests this week! First up is Des Gilbert who along with his wife Marie enjoyed great success in the Christmas Oaks training Rathdown Molly to victory. She also shared the top spot in the 2023 greyhound racing rankings based on wins with an impressive 15 wins last year.

Young Cork trainer Jake Faul also joins Barry to recap on a very successful 2023 which saw Jake top the Private Trainer rankings nationwide. He leaves us with his hopes for 2024.

In just a few short years, Jack has really made his mark in the Irish racing and is looking forward to his first Classic Final on Saturday as Beepers Lariat takes his place in the 2023 WillWeGo.com Irish St. Leger Final.
