First up, our guests are The Ion Productions Team to tell us about the world's first commercially available handheld flamethrower, the XM42-M!  Founded in 2004 IPT is a small company in metro Phoenix, Arizona that focuses on bringing exciting and unique products to the world.  Chris Beyers talks about this innovative company and the impact the XM42 has had on the pop-culture scene.  You may have seen Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson using it in Jumanji  Also joining us this round is Bret Hunter with Tactical Rx.  Chad's world is drastically improved as Brett introduces him to prescription shooting glasses.

Lucky Shot USA

Our second interview is one of my favorites this year.  I love innovation and I love history, Lucky Shot USA brings both of these criteria to the table, pun intended.  Lynn & Brook tell us about Lucky Shot's unique concept in drinkware, glassware and leisure accessories.  Doug Ingalls, the owner, collects military antiques and is inspired by Trench Art from the WWI, WWII, Korean & Vietnam Wars to recreate these historical items from real repurposed war artifacts.  Their bomb tables are a must for every man-cave!  Also check out their Stuck In Glass website for other genre themed glassware and items!  Lefty has a few ideas of his own.

Our third interview this episode gets ramped up a few hundred notches when good friend and fellow Lead Head Nick Atkinson rolls in with, none other than, the creator of Tactial SH*T himself TJ Kirgin. Welcome back to the Talking Lead Show!  This episode will mark the first official interview for the new year of 2018.  Our guest this week is Nick Atkinson, Beast Master Hunting!

As Lefty starts to introduce Nick, a random phone call comes in...Shawn Herrin the new owner of the Firearms Radio Network has some big news to drop for you Lead Heads!  Talking Lead is proud to be re-joining the fine lineup of shows Shawn has put together and revamped to form the new Firearms Radio Network!

Before we talk to Nick about his recent big cat hunt in Idaho, The Gunny brings in the first Talking Lead Jackwagon Train of the year and it's a good one!  Airport & Airline Jackwagons feel the string of Nick's assignments to the TLJWT this episode.  Lefty throws a famous Sheriff on the TLJWT!?

Next we get to the "meat" of the show where Nick tells us all about his amazing trip to Idaho to hunt Mountain Lions and Wolves with Storm Creek Outfitters.   Great hunting story!  Nick also tells us about a new hunting rifle he has designed that will be available for sale late January 2018.

TLP 229 Unveiling Of The New Glock 19x

Happy New Year Lead Heads!  Welcome to the first episode of the Talking Lead Show of the new year, 2018, and it's a doozy!

Lefty travels down to the Glock facility in Smyrna Georgia for the big reveal of Glock's commercial release of their Army MHS XM19 submission the G19x!  A hybrid between Glock's G17 & G19 9mm pistols and most of the features that the recently released Generation 5 Glocks offer.  And speaking of the Gen 5's they also are releasing the G26 & G34!  Lefty talks with Josh Dorsey, Vice President of GLOCK Inc, about their new releases.

After getting some range time with the G19x, Lefty comes together with a few other media people to discuss the experience.  Don Porter (aka Sootch00), Andre Dall'au (Big 3 East Media) and Sean Curtis (Police One & Gun World) give their thoughts on the G19x and the two new Generation 5 offerings.  Of course it wouldn't be the Talking Lead show unless we get off topic, this episode it's Daisy Duke!

Wrapping up the trip to Glock Lefty is joined by Willie Parent (Director of Training & GSSG) , Chris Edwards (GSSF Match Coordinator/ Range Master) & Shane Coley (Team Glock Captain).

Willie and Chris talk about the recent "Gunny Challenge" in Talladega which had another Duke's of hazard special guest, John Schneider, best known for his role as Beauregard "Bo" Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard.!  Great story about how John Schneider used his bow and arrow on a steel target.  Shane talks about his role as Team Glock Captain & some of his 2017 match experiences.  Next we get everyone's take on the new Glock G19x and Willie tells us what a "biscuit shovel" is ...?

Welcome back to the final episode for 2017 of the Talking Lead show!  This episode Lefty sets up the Leadquarters at On Target Gun Range in Murfreesboro Tennessee,  His guest is none other than THE Jacob Herman.

Nick traveled to Alaska during bear season to try his luck at bagging a brown bear.  It's not your typical hunting trip and not for the faint of heart or wallet.  It takes detailed planning, focused preparation and a trunk full of greenbacks to hunt Alaska.  Lefty and Nick give you all the details from Nick's nearly month-long hunt, the glassing, the tracking, the close encounters and the one that got away!
