On this week's Talking of Books, host Annbelle Corton and co-host David McAdam pay special tribute to Roald Dahl, author of classics such as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', 'Matilda', and 'James and the Giant Peach', in honor of his birthday. Special guests, Rachel Hamilton, Jodie Hamilton and Alex Ring also join us to offer their thoughts on Roald Dahl's collection, the Roald Dahl Dictionary, and take the Roald Dahl character quiz. During the Castaway segment, Rachel Hamilton also shares the three books that she would take with her if she ever got stranded on an island! Maan Jalal then joins us to discuss the epic life and works of Rumi, the Persian poet whose works still inspire millions today. We're also discussing the big question of how scientists are attempting to bring back the long extinct woolly mammoth! Aya Sallam jumps in to offer her views on 'Together' by Julie Cohen, a book that describes itself as not a great love story, but rather a story about great love. As always, we end our show with a musical interlude - 'Pure Imagination' by Gene Wilder.
