Well, we were wrong. Duchene is not a Predator... yet. Poile made some huge moves, though, literally with seconds to spare with the NHL trade deadline. Wayne Simmonds was acquired from the Flyers for a conditional 4th round pick and Ryan Hartman. Kevin Filia was traded to Minnesota straight up for Mikael Granlund. We believe that both of these moves not only make the Predators better, but David Poile almost stole them. We talk about the latest games of the Preds and all the trade deadline news. Also, next show we are having Jillian Fisher on the show to talk all things hockey!

It's here. The final episode before the NHL Trade Deadline, and what does David Poile have up his sleeves for the Nashville Predators? Do we need any missing pieces? Is Matt Duchene the winning ticket? What will it take to get him? Who do we have to give up and can we sign him to a long term deal?

All those questions and more answered in this episode! Plus, we announce a special guest coming on the show next week, so you don't want to miss finding out who it is!

Your Nashville Predators are looking good after getting a little bit healthy. We talk about the little engines that could, as well as look ahead to the match up tonight against Winnipeg. Lots of Pred's news in this episode!

Smashville, it's your favorite fan podcast back at it with the whole gang on! There's lots to get to in this episode.

4 players on IR is no joke, and we also had a few players sick for Saturday's game against the Blackhawks. However, we still managed to go 3 - 2 in our 5 game home stand.

Forsburg is out 4-6 weeks with an upper body injury. Arvidsson is still out with a broken thumb. Subban and Turris have both been out for the last couple of games.

The NHL has announced approval of a 32nd team to be added through expansion in Seattle. Their season will commence for the 2021-2022 season. We speculate what will happen.

We have some exciting things to announce coming up! Be sure to tune in for some interviews and the likes that we are planning. You don't want to miss them!

Rinne ties for most all time wins as a Finnish goalie with 319. Think it’s safe to say he’ll run away with that record. Perhaps tonight, unless Saros gets the start against the Blues. The 36 year old Rinne is playing lights out hockey.

The Preds Power Play is looking better with a few more goals over the last couple games. It's great to see the team move without the puck, get pucks to the net, and find the back of the net to score some goals.

Arvi and PK are still on the IR. We expect to see PK Subban back pretty soon, perhaps after this week. Arvi is out with a broken thumb more than likely until next year.

Lots of coaches getting fired this year. We didn't see any last year. A couple reasons could explain this.
