Welcome to part 1 of Episode 16 of Talking Prisoner. Hosts Ken Mulholland and Matt Batten sat down with the legendary Sean Nash who was a Writer and Director on Prisoner. Sean has has written and directed shows such as Home and Away, Neighbours, E-Street, Paradise Beach, Cop Shop, Breakers, Paradise Beach and many more. Sean directed many episodes of Prisoner including the last two episodes and the iconic Episode 692 of Prisoner which we discuss in great length, what it was like on the final day, directing Maggie Kirkpatrick in her final scenes, how other ideas for endings were being talked about, how the cast were on the final days, sets being literally torn down as the final episode was being directed. We also discussed Sean’s life growing up as a child and how he would sweep floors as a job at Crawford’s and work for free to just get his foot in the door. Sean also told us about what it was like to shoot the famous boat episodes on Prisoner and the riot scenes at Blackmoor with Ray Meagher as Governor Craven and the challenges shooting between two locations with Blackmoor. We discussed Cop Shop, Carson’s Law and working with Lorraine Bayly, how he got his job on Prisoner, Sean also directed the amazing fight scene between Joan Ferguson and Len Murphy, which we also speak about and so much more. Welcome to Episode 15 of Talking Prisoner. Hosts Ken Mulholland and Matt Batten sat down with the talented Margot Knight who played inmate Sharon Gilmore and then in later episodes Officer Terri Malone. We spoke with Margot about her childhood growing up, Margot talks about how she landed the part of Sharon Gilmore and what it was like to work so closely with Betty Bobbitt who played Judy Bryant, we broke down some episodes with her and the famous Jock Stewart scenes, working with Tommy Dysart and then how she was invited back to play Officer Terri Malone and what it was like to work with Maggie Kirkpatrick on Prisoner, we also broke down some episodes with Margot and the scenes as Terri Malone and what it was like to play an officer rather than an inmate. Margot also spoke with us about playing two characters on Neighbours Tracey Cox and Jean Richards at the time that Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, Alan Hopgood and Jason Donovan were on Neighbours and the episodes that she wrote for Neighbours including the iconic episode where Todd Landers was hit by a car and died. Welcome to Episode 14 of Talking Prisoner. Hosts Ken Mulholland and Matt Batten sat down with the talented Reylene Pearce who played Phyllis Hunt.
