Leigh Phillips is a composer, orchestrator, and producer with experience in creating unique compositions and orchestrations for media, concert performances, and CD recordings.
In May 2023 for TALKING SOUNDTRACKS ON THE CINEMATIC SOUND PODCAST, Jason Drury had the pleasure of talking to Leigh Phillips from his home in Prague.
In part one of our two-part conversation Leigh discussed his musical roots, how he got into orchestration work and score reconstruction, and how he began his association with James Fitzpatrick and Tadlow Records.
Part two discusses his work on Goldsmith re-recordings such as BLACK PATCH and GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATRE, his thoughts on film music today, and his fears about the employment of artificial intelligence in future film soundtracks.
As with part one, you will hear music that Leigh Phillips has orchestrated or composed just for these events to highlight his immense talent.
