As world travelers we hop from one country to another leaving the familiar to carve out a new path in the next location. Often times we long for the "what ifs" in our journey.
What if we stayed in that country?
What if I stayed in that school?
What if I continued to pursue that career?
We ask lots of questions wondering what could have been, in this podcast Iona shares her story of grieving through the life not lived.
Iona McHaney Marcellino is a second generation Adult TCK, a nurse, and a writer. She grew up as a Missionary Kid, or MK, in Scotland, Portugal, Angola, Kenya, the Middle East and the USA. Currently, Iona lives in Cambridge, UK, with her husband and daughter. Iona writes about her own experience as a TCK in this blog and she has pieces in A Life Overseas, Among Worlds, and Erraticus. She enjoys connecting with other Adult TCKs, virtually or in-person, and discussing the nuances of the multicultural life over a good cup of coffee.
