Mahmud Asrar came from Turkey to make a big name for himself in mainstream comics, and he paid his dues. He got started in America with Jay Faerber on Dynamo 5, and moved along quickly from there, notching runs on Supergirl, Uncanny X-Men, and more, most recently with Jason Aaron on Conan the Barbarian, and King Conan. We talk about his work, and he got from a kid scrounging comics wherever he could to fan favorite artist doing his dream job.
