  • Chapter 3 Tao Te Ching – Selfless Action Causes Everything to Fall into Place!

In the 3rd Chapter of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu describes a life of peace and joy begins with inner emptiness, not external fullness. • Chapter 1 Tao Te Ching – The Way of Not Knowing!

In the 1st Chapter of the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu shows us the way of the Tao is a way of "not knowing." Most of us are taught growing up that the first thing we do is label – good or bad, etc. We were taught to identify and structure every situation, person, place, or thought so we could apply the highest level of perceived control. The way of the Tao is the opposite. Letting ourselves not know, not label or name, be powerless.

About Tao of Our understanding Alcohol Recovery Podcast

From the publisher's feed

In this podcast, we discuss mystical works of literature, primarily Taoist text, and how they relate to alcohol recovery. Taoist Philosophy can be an excellent tool for embracing the idea of a "Higher Power." Nature offers all of the examples necessary for a concept of a source of all life, much different but yet very similar in many ways to more traditional religious thinking.
