Synopsis:
How do we come alongside someone who is walking in a wilderness season? Maybe we are a mentor, a parent, a teacher, or a youth leader and we find ourselves trying to understand how best to encourage someone we love.
Linnea shares three questions that are revealed during difficult times and they relate to our identity, purpose, and future. Using scripture, personal testimony, and moments of reflection, these three questions will encourage you in your mentoring.
In this episode you will hear:
- three questions that our wilderness reveals
- how to use those questions in a mentor/mentee, parent/child relationship
- the importance of trusting in God's character
- recognizing our children walk through their own wilderness and as parents, we need to come alongside them.
Resources mentioned:
- Psalm 139
- Ephesians 1-3
- John Mark Comer episode Naming Your Stage of Apprenticeship

The Taste and Seek Prayer Journal is designed for individuals and families to record their prayers to see God's presence in their lives. To find out more details, click here.
The Deeply Rooted Journal is a companion for your personal relationship growth with Jesus through the spiritual disciplines. In the 12 month journal, you focus on a specific discipline (prayer, fasting, etc.), action steps, resources to come alongside, and pages to write down observations. There is also a page to reflect on what should be changed month to month.
