Today, on Crime & Entertainment, we have Brandie Phillips. At age 14, Brandie was in a terrible accident where she collided with a gas truck and was burned on over 33% of her body. As she was recovering, she was hit with the death of her boyfriend, who was driving the vehicle & and he mother, who sadly passed away from cancer. Her life became a whirlwind from there. She later married, however, it turned into a nightmare. She had to escape being shot at by her husband, who had turned into white nationalist. Eventually, Brandie learned that tattoos a way to get her confidence back. She became obsessed even getting sick from getting so much tattoo work done so fast. As the scars from the wreck got covered up, Brandie began to live again. While going through this transformation, she even created a reality show, Ink Therapy. The show focused on helping people over come trauma by using tattoos as the answer.
Sadly, it ended when a director was arrested for fraud. This left Brandie looking for an answer that sadly she found in drugs, she was literally living on the street in a trap house. It wasn't until she was held at gunpoint that she decided to turn things around and take back her life. This story is unlike anything I've ever covered, and Brandie is a very special person. She is definitely destined to do great things in life, and I'm so glad I got to help share her story with her on Crime & Entertainment.
