The Blazers won 129-119, separating late on a pair of CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony breakout threes after the referees ejected Marcus Smart following a collision with Jusuf Nurkic where they deemed he hit Nurkic in the groin. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum collided after the threes and twisted each other's ankles, sending both to the locker room in a scary final moment with the game out of reach. Evan Fournier and Aaron Nesmith hit nearly all their shots, but Tatum cooled off following a 24-point first half and both Brown, Smart struggled from the field as Boston turned the ball over 16 times and allowed the Blazers to shoot 50% from the field and from three.
