Controversy alert.
The truth is that we have to talk about this. We have to talk about bodyfat and health. About how much fat is acceptable from a health perspective.
The truth is that being overfat IS BAD for your health. It puts you at higher risk of a lot of health risks, such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver, CVD, and cancers, to name a few.
The truth is that our culture makes it really fucking hard to not become overfat. There are systemic systems in place that push us to eat more, drink more, exercise less. There are issues with access to healthy food and discrepencies with socio-economic status. All of this is real.
But.
That doesn't mean we should avoid or make void the topic (super kudos to anyone who gets that reference!).
This is important. Literally your life just might depend on it.
