TBOO: "Life of Detours" episodes

  • Granny's Gayrage Pt. 3 with The Polk County Viking
Welcome back to Granny’s Gayrage! In this episode, Mom and Christian join us in the Gayrage. Christian (AKA The Polk County Viking) is a damn cool dude. He’s what you could call an axe bender. Different from someone who just throws axes, in my opinion. There’s an art to what he does and he’s crazy passionate about it. If you wanna see what I mean follow all his socials here: @the_polk_county_viking

  • Detours #21: Sound Check with Jeff, Jordan, and Mom!
In this episode, we test out some new podcast equipment I have recently acquired! We mess with new buttons and the physical set up of a multiple microphone podcast. We’re just goofing off on this one (more than the rest even, if you can believe that), so just enjoy!

  • The Detours of Business #19: K9 Gains
In this episode, I sit down with Mr. K9 Gains. He leads us through the life of a young bodybuilding champion turned social media influencer, personal trainer, volunteer fireman, and someday doctor. The energy that K9 brings to the table is incredible and the introspective way that he lives his life goes a long way in the creation of his successful empire. At just 21, he’s more put together than pretty much all the “adults” I know.
Find him on all socials @K9Gains for awesome content and all your personal training needs! Also, might be a good guy to call if your house is on fire.

  • Granny's Gayrage Pt. 2 with Rachel and Madre

Welcome back to Granny’s Gayrage! After three attempts at doing the birthday special, we decided to just scrap that idea and go back to the basics. Mom, Rachel, and I just hopped on a pod and talked about what's really going on with us all. We drank and talked and had a damn good time. I threw what good audio I had from the birthday special on the end as a bonus, so don't be alarmed about 1 hour and 40 minutes in when it seems like the podcast starts over.

  • Detours #18: Matt Capo
In this episode, I sit down with one of the coolest dudes I've ever met, Mr. Matt Capo! I first met Capo through our mutual friend Nick when Nick enlisted his help with The Book of Osten documentary. I had heard a lot about him from nick, but, until I met him, I had no idea just how awesome he actually is. I had a great time hearing about the upbringing and the mindset that makes Capo the man he is today. It sounds like one hell of a ride. You can check out his work at MyPhotoShenaningans.com and follow his social media @TheGingerATX.

  • The Detours of Business #17: Central Arts Non-Profit
In this episode, I sit down with Josh Santillan from the Central Arts non-profit. Central Arts is all about transforming a community with the arts at the heart and giving people of all ages a place to both create and showcase their art. They host multiple events and art shows throughout the month and have weekly arcade nights to give the people a safe place to have a good time. Keep em off the street, ya know.
Josh is the epitome of detours in conversation and even more so in business. This guy has done just about everything: engineering, contracting, teaching, service industry, and more. He now runs both an insulation business and Central Arts. Josh is one hell of an interesting guy and Central Arts is changing the world one community at a time.

  • Detours #16: Mike Wilson
In this episode, I sit down with my boy Mike Wilson whom I met in our employ at TGI Friday's in Conway. He's a long-time friend and is now co-host of The Fans Edge podcast. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Mike grew up and learned just how rough the world could be and what people were capable of. His move to Arkansas, where I met him, was a much-needed change of pace in his life. He kept the teachings of his youth and was able to progress with an objective scientific mindset. Keep up with Mike on Spotify with "The Fans Edge" podcast and on all socials @thefansedge.

  • Granny's Gayrage Pt.1 with Rachel & Shay
Welcome to Granny’s Gayrage! In this episode, Rachel, Shay, and I sit down just like we used to back at GMA’s house and just decompress. We talk about funny stories, deep cuts from the past, the stresses of life, and podcasting.

  • The Detours of Business #15: The Awareness Project
The Awareness Project is an amazing nonprofit that does its best to bring awareness to some of the issues that affect (and will do so more in the future) us and our planet while also just supporting the community and the people.
They have such a beautiful message and they have put in a huge amount of hard work and time to make sure they and their company live by the message they are trying to send.
I have a ton of respect for these guys and their company and hope you guys enjoy hearing their story and positive message as much as I did.

  • Detours #14: Eric Spence
In this episode, I sit down with my buddy Eric Spence. Eric grew up a military kid bouncing around the south as his parent's stations changed and they eventually split up. Eric attended private schools for the majority of his education. When Eric graduated high school he was living with his dad who was stationed in England. Being on a student visa, he only had two options: go to school or take the military route. He chose the military route and wound up on the intelligence side of the Air Force. When his time in the service ended, Eric was thrown into the real world with the rest of us as a mid 20s with little job experience trying to find his way. He found a few different jobs to make ends meet. Worked in entertainment and sales. He eventually started his own clothing line "Trunk Monkey Apparel" with badass designs and concepts based on some of his military experience.
