Teach Music Online

Heather Koss-Huisman transitioned to teaching music online before Covid-19. Her husband took a job across the country and after she moved she reached out to her students who still wanted to take lessons from her! She made the switch to online and has been teaching online ever since.

Heather has a gift for making students laugh and smile with very simple methods that I know all teachers will be able to relate to. She doesn't use technology, screen sharing or apps but is really able to engage her students during online lessons!

We all have fears and challenges as music teachers! Most of the time we bottle this up and never share it with one another. In this episode, you'll hear the fears and vulnerabilities of several online music teachers. Hearing that others have challenges will help you realize that you are not alone in this journey as a music teacher.

I challenge you to take some time to think about and write down your greatest fears as a teacher. Allowing yourself time to gather your thoughts and write down your fears will allow you to make plans on how to overcome them.
