Don’t let your past define you, let it refine you.
Many modalities fostered Kate’s personal healing, all of which have contributed important elements to the coaching toolkit she now shares with others. She melds the wisdom of sacred practices and the powerful science behind Neural Linguistic Programming to help clients clear the roadblocks – both conscious and unconscious – that prevent them from living their biggest, truest lives. She holds sacred space for and fully sees the people with whom she works, often before they are fully able to see themselves.
Learn how Covid19 offered Kate the silence in which to hear her deepest intuition and why that pause resulted in a new career trajectory devoted to helping people – even in the most stressful of circumstances – develop resiliency and self-compassion. She breaks down the elements behind FORGIVE, an acronym that neatly summarizes all the factors Kate believes are necessary to come fully and authentically into ourselves, both as individuals and entrepreneurs.
Kate’s method has proven especially liberating for those who are hungry to discover the entrepreneur inside but have felt stuck or sidelined by fear. With her deep personal experience and empathy, Kate is uniquely equipped to guide clients into the light of their own brilliance. It’s not about fixing our beautiful, perfectly imperfect selves or getting stuck in the wounds we have suffered. Rather, her coaching focuses on embracing our personal stories, clearing self-talk and messages that do not serve and aligning hearts and souls – allowing us to soar!
Building a business is tough, but you’re not alone! The universe is waiting to deliver abundance, and Kate offers tools (one-to-one coaching, best-selling books, and online platforms) to help get you there. Thanks to her unique blend of business and psycho-spiritual acumen, Kate knows how to help us connect with and unleash the entrepreneur inside who is waiting to shine.

Here is a quick look into the episode.
[02:32] A bit about Kate and her entrepreneurial trajectory as a mental health advocate, especially in light of pandemic stress. Her passion is for helping people locate their most resilient and self-compassionate selves.
[03:34] Understanding and working through trauma, which Kate herself has navigated, is central to the sacred space she holds for clients finding their way to resolution.
[04:22] When she embarked on her career in social services Kate quickly realized that she hadn’t yet found her niche. She first had to travel inward and do her own trauma work to deal with the pieces that were missing and keeping her from “truly showing up in the world.”
[05:03] Among the modalities Kate explored on her journey to healing: Reiki, Shamanism, Quantum Touch Healing, EMDR, Neural Linguistic Programming and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
[05:29] All the work she did and modalities she tried have shaped Kate’s entrepreneurial vision – allowing her to step back and open herself to working in the areas that she knows, based on personally experience, promote the most ease and flow. – “My heart and my soul’s purpose … is to bring love and joy and most of all that sacredness of connection of heart and soul together.”
[05:56] About the self-forgiveness for which people yearn and how elusive it can be without an experienced traveler to help guide the journey.
[06:40] Kate offers advice for would-be entrepreneurs seeking to pivot and step fully into their own power:
o Most importantly: Clear limiting beliefs.
o Work through things like imposter syndrome, financial insecurity, and fear.
o This work requires bravery and a commitment to going back and doing the emotional work. Kate found "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway," by Susan Jeffers immensely helpful in this regard.
o When you trust the universe to provide, it will supply the catalysts necessary.
o Gratitude is another key ingredient to advancing your vision.
[10:00] Covid19 offered Kate the opportunity to experience silence and listen to that inner whisper of intuition. She accepted that she is perfectly imperfect, just like everyone else. – “We fall but we pick ourselves back up and doors open. It’s beautiful.”
[10:42] Who are the people most helped by Kate’s coaching? Her ideal clients are those who are feeling afraid, sitting on the edge but wanting to take a plunge despite the unknown. Whether male or female, Kate’s practice is about holding sacred space in which people can play big and step into their greatness. Every hardship can be reframed as an opportunity. – “Your mess can be the medicine for someone else’s soul to help them rise up and reach the great heights that they’re here for.”
[13:20] Kate explains her principal focus, which is supporting people who have reached a point in their lives where they want something more and are looking to figure out (and work through) whatever traumas or blocks might be in their path. – “(There is) greatness in finding that authenticity, transparency and genuine need and desire to be the gift (you) desired to be given as a child.”
[15:17] Kate explains FORGIVE and how it applies in an entrepreneurial context:
o F: Find the freedom to experience emotions and let them wash through you.
o O: Open your heart, trusting that the universe will provide.
o Receive: Accept it! Your body is aching to release the disorder in your mind if you allow it to open and clear those beliefs that do not serve.
o G: Give yourself the honoring, love, self-compassion, and gratitude that resonate deeply as worthiness emanating from within.
o I: Intuition is your truest compass, allowing you to be what you need to be in any given moment.
o V: Value yourself enough to prioritize things that are worthy of your intention, including setting boundaries (which is critical to entrepreneurial vision).
o E: Empathize with yourself so that you can hold empathy for others. Putting yourself in someone else’s shoes enables your enterprise to grow and thrive.
[18:28] An introduction to Kate’s writing:
o "Ignite Possibilities," (released May 2021)
o "Ignite the Hunger in You: How to Develop Your Greatness and Ignite Humanity," (Released December 2021, co-author Les Brown)
[20:20] Kate shares thoughts on the process of authoring a book, whether for personal catharsis or business objectives. – “Don’t let your past define you. Let it refine you!”
[22:22] There are several ways (links below) to learn more about Kate and her work, including free resources and space to start telling your own life story. – “Find that true love within yourself because only you can give yourself love and then you attract it in all areas of your life and abundance just follows suit.”
