Struck by a drunk driver, reeling with the sudden loss of her mother, bogged down in a relationship that wasn’t good for her and struggling to be the caretaker she wanted to be for her kids – Serita fought back against hardship by advocating for herself. She’s here to share with us the transformational alternative therapies that got her to the other side of pain.
Having had enough of conventional medical doctors who let her down, dismissed her pain and dosed her with medications that didn’t work, Serita set about exploring modalities that in just a few months’ time radically shifted her mental, physical and emotional health. She treated herself through self-education and the help of empathetic, skilled healers. Her holistic approach included nutrition, stress management techniques, physical exercise. It amounted to a wholesale life change – and there has been no looking back! Since emerging from pain and frustration, Serita has earned certifications as a life coach, pain management and reiki healer. Through her energy and commitment she is inspiring others to battle challenges with tools for self-care and optimal wellness. There is light ahead, if – as Serita points out – we believe!
