TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ DJ DATCH

Due to the desire to escape, and a vague sense of inner awe filled exclusively by music, Dj Datch started getting closer to the world of clubbing.

At first he was inspired to explore the different types of electronic music although passion leads him to a broader evolutionary path. He also started playing in the most important clubs of his native land, Sardinia.

His performances began to take an intense musical form of personal communication with the obsessive use of drums, almost like stabbings, in a progressive growth up to mesmerize the listener : explosion then restart. Next step is outside Italy, turning a utopia into reality : Tresor Club in Berlin.

DJ Datch found a context of sound research, find a chemistry that makes developing a personal style characterized by techno sounds, dark and hypnotic in combination with hints of experimental dub.

In order to complete this journey DJ Datch experiences his first productions in 2011, focusing his energies into his dark style. Over the years, his music has been published on various labels including Kynant ( as Black Sand ), Attic Music, Natch Records, Att Series, Subsist, Par, Etichetta Nera, No Way Records.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ M I L L I

MILLI has always been captured and inspired by music, often considering it as the only form of personal expression.

Over the years she approaches various genres, passing from the 4/4 hip-hop music of the late 90s of the American east coast, passing to electronic and rock, up to the most lyrical, introspective, romantic and desolate strings of the English dark wave.

The fascination she has for brutalist, industrial, decadent and abandoned contexts leads her to approach the synthetic, dark, harsh, penetrating, raw and strident sounds of techno music, capturing her soul.

The event that sparked off was when she first saw The Prodigy's music video No Good (Start The Dance), in 1997. The exaltation and the sense of freedom that those people transmitted to her in the video, the lightness, the lightheartedness, the sense of aggregation that she managed to grasp, bewitch her to the point of deciding to want to be part of that world for the whole life.

Her sets are to be interpreted as emotional introspective journeys, with the aim of replacing words with music, accompanying the listener on own inner journey, and often this results in djsets that evolve rhythmically, combining dark and hypnotic sounds to raw and industrial sonorities.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ VSK

Francesco Visconti, better known as VSK, is an Italian techno dj and producer, born in Rome in 1986 and based in Berlin.

Since his earliest youth he has had a huge passion for electronic music, and through hanging out at the famous record store from the Capital “Remix”, he was introduced to the world of djing when he wa only 16 years old. He has got familiar to different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind.

At the same time he met the artist Ken Karter, who introduced him to the world of production and mastering. He began an education as an audio-engineer and sound-designer, in music and especially in television, working in different recording studios; currently he does this alongside his artistic career.

In 2010 he and his friends Conrad Van Orton and Vilix started their own label “Consumer Recreation Service”, which got immediate support from big names in the international techno scene, currently he has been handling “CRS ltd” series, focused on a darker and more industrial sound.

Over the years he has released music on many other important labels such as Ear To Ground, Sonntag Morgen,Genesa, Planet Rhythm, on which he has an important collaboration with the Italian icon Giorgio Gigli, “Silent Age Ep”.

In 2016 he also signed an extended six-track Ep with Conrad Van Orton on Developer’s imprint Modularz ( USA) and in 2018 on historical Soma Records under the name of “Symmetrical Behaviuor”.

In 2017 he started performing live, both individually and as part of a duo with the Serbian artist Scalameriya. This collaboration brought to several relevant releases on the British labels Power Vacuum and the legendary Perc Trax, as well as leading to their appearance in the MORD box 002.

At the same time he took part in the latest VA on the amazing “47” label along with Ancient Methods, OAKE and the label owner Tommy Four Seven. He also signed 47's third solo Ep, following those by Headless Horseman and Killawatt.
