  • Podcast: CPaaS and the impact for service providers
“The enterprises need a more customized solution,” says Sullivan. Last week, Patrick Sullivan, COO, 2600HZ made a presentation at the Cloud Communications Alliance on CPaaS and the impact on service providers. In this podcast, Sullivan gives us a sample of his presentation. Sullivan argues that offering a non-customized solution will likely fail to meet contemporary enterprise needs and demands. “The enterprise doesn’t just need a phone system, what they need is a whole suite of communications (including) messaging, SMS…”. According to Sullivan, partners need to offer PBX functionality plus a whole solution for the balance of communications occurring by other means. “Selling a solution,” says Sullivan verse the old school method of selling a system, is the say forward. Sullivan also reports that the CCA conference offers “best practices” information that is hard to find from other sources or events. Sullivan notes that the collaboration between services providers, at the CCA, is leading to stronger and better industry.

  • Podcast: Stateless gives co-location facilities the power to create a completely customized network on demand
Murad Kablan, CEO and Co-Founder talks to Don Witt of The Channel Daily News about the transition many of the co-location facilities are going through from being a space, power and physical connectivity source which does not address the demands for routing and the multi-tenant needs.

Obviously, the current physical cross-connect deployments add ground management and operational challenges which increase significantly with hyperscale deployments.

This gives way to - Software Defined Interconnect (SD-IX) where colocation providers and cloud MSPs will have the ability to manage their cross-connects through software and extend their connectivity control.

If you are an enterprise moving to the cloud, it is mandatory to know what kind of connectivity and software management the co-location facility supports.  In the age of big data – you need automation to expand quickly, manage the data and manage the connections.

  • Podcast: Don’t Panic; Deliver Superior WAN Service
    by Gary Audin

Not all SD-WAN technologies are the same. SD-WAN is more than a new router, load balancer, or WAN optimizer. SD-WAN should deliver resilient and fault tolerant pathways through the network connections especially Internet connections.

Andy Gottlieb, CMO and Co-Founder of Talari Networks www.talari.com and Gary Audin recorded this podcast at the ITEXPO 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Andy discusses how to deliver a fail-safe WAN environment that can take advantage of Internet economics. He points out that there are many vendors who deliver what they call SD-WAN but are really just sophisticated management tools.

The real requirement is to deliver end-to-end network quality for voice and video that can react in sub-second time to network issues and re-route the traffic faster than a user can observe. The Talari approach does not make forwarding decisions based on average statistics but on real-time monitoring on a packet by packet basis. The Talari technologies can even report on a provider’s SLA better than the provider.

Talari www.talari.com is the original innovator of Failsafe SD-WANs™ that deliver both MPLS-class high availability and high QoE (Quality of Experience) predictable application performance for both TCP-based apps and real-time apps like VoIP and videoconferencing, whether built on a hybrid MPLS plus Internet WAN fabric, or a WAN comprised of only Internet connections. Talari technology delivers a multi-network WAN with 50 - 400 times more bandwidth per dollar, WAN cost reductions of 40% - 80%, and greater network reliability and superior application QoE than any single MPLS network.

Talari Failsafe SD-WAN enables Internet economics, dramatically reduces troubleshooting costs, and optimizes access for hybrid-cloud IT infrastructures and next-generation applications.
