At this hour in Peru, rescue and relief operations continue following the 5.5 magnitude earthquake that struck the Junín region, about 300 km east of Lima.
The quake left at least 6 people dead, 30 injured, around 300 people displaced, about 50 homes destroyed and hundreds more damaged, while the government prepares to declare a state of emergency in the affected area.
Venezuela
Venezuela is strengthening relief efforts in the areas impacted by the double earthquake, with the reconstructions of buildings and the removal of debris.
So far, about 6,500 people have been rescued and the death toll has exceeded 5,000.
FIFA World Cup
And across Spain, thousands of fans celebrated with immense joy and pride the country's FIFA World Cup victory, after defeating Argentina 1-0, filling streets and public squares with songs, flags, hugs and celebrations that lasted for hours.
Meanwhile, in Argentina, the defeat left fans overcome with sadness and disappointment, in an atmosphere of restrained emotion, silence and recognition of the national team effort.
