The Order of Great Compline for the 2nd Tuesday of Great Lent. According to the Typikon, on this day we take the Canon of the Saint who will be omitted due to Palm Sunday. This year, Palm Sunday falls on March 24th, which has no proper saint but is the prefestive day of the Annunciation. As such, that Canon makes no sense so far removed from the Feast for which it is meant to prepare us. Therefore, we take as normal the Canon of Supplication to the Theotokos for the day and tone of the week (Tuesday Tone 5) from the Oktoekhos.
For time constraints recording, I have used only the Odes of the Day (3, 8, 9) rather than the whole Canon.
The Order of the 9th Hour, Typika, & Vespers for the 2nd Tuesday of the Great Fast, commemorating the Holy Martyr Timothy of Symbola, and Eustatius (Eustace) of Antioch.
The Order of Tersext for the 2nd Tuesday of the Great Fast with the Prophecy from Isaias.
The Order of Orthros and Prime for the 2nd Tuesday of the Great Fast, when it falls in a week of Tone 5 and on Feb 20, the commemoration of our Venerable Father Leo, Bishop of Catania in Sicily.
The Order of Great Compline on a Monday of the Great Fast.
Starting this second week, at the Canon we take the Canon of the saints of the day who will be omitted from the calendar this year on account of Holy Week and Bright Week. On the 2nd Monday we take the Saint of the Day for Lazarus Saturday: this year that is March 23, The Holy Martyred Monk Nikon, and 200 of his disciples who were martyred with him.
The Order of Nonne, Typika, and Vespers for the 2nd Monday of the Great Fast, with the beginning of the Commemoration of the saint of Feb 20, Leo, Bishop of Catania, and the continuing Lenten Vesperal Readings from Genesis and Proverbs.
