Episode 25 of Tendy Talk I chat with fellow podcaster Keits Zanders of the Between The Pipes podcast. Keits has an interesting background having been born in Latvia, and immigrating to the US at the age of 13. After coming to America Keirts continued playing hockey, but eventually took a break from the game. Listen to what brought him back to the game, and how he ended up becoming a firefighter. This was a long episode so it is broken up into two parts. 

Episode 24 of Tendy Talk was a special one for me. When I started the podcast I told my wife that maybe I'd be lucky enough to have my childhood idol Ed Belfour on as a guest. Since then I've learned about the documentary they're making, participated in some of their pick-up skates, and even appeared in one of their commercial shoots for Kav Sports. For episode 20 of Tendy Talk, I had the pleasure of talking to mask creator and mask painter Don Straus. Unlike previous guests, Don doesn't play hockey yet alone ever played goalie. His background is in motorsports, which freed him of any preconceived notions as to how a goalie mask should look when he came up with his now-iconic Armadilla goalie mask. Not only was the mask a work of art, but some of the masks he painted are icons of 90's NHL hockey from Brian Haywards San Jose Sharks mask where it looks like a shark with his mouth open around the cage, to previous Tendy Talk guest Kelly Hrudy's Hollywood mask, and most notably John Vanbiesbrouck's Florida Panthers panther mask. As we discuss on the episode, what we all remember as Vanbiesbrouck's panther mask wasn't the original design, the one to the right was. Have a listen to the episode to hear more great stories.
