Lining up time to chat with Kane Van Gate for an episode of Tendy Talk wasn't easy. I had multiple layers of 'his people' to go through, but honestly, I think it was his niece and nephew we saw in his movie Kane Van Gate's Hockey Journey. Eventually, we got time on our calendars though, and KVG and I had a great conversation and agreed that we need to get together next time he is in Minnesota.

When I lined up Kevin Woodley of InGoal Magazine, NHL.com, the AP, USA Today, The Hockey News and so many other publications, I knew we might go over the hour I scheduled us to talk. This episode I talk to my old goalie coach from Saint Mary's Univerity of Minnesota Donny Nadeau. I get one burning question answered - why did they even pick me to be on the team, but more importantly I got to reconnect with an early mentor of mine who taught me a lot on and off the ice. We talked about Donny's journey in hockey, but also how he is able to recharge away from the game by taking annual road trips to visit America's National Parks.
