Tent Talk with Nancy McCready

We now arrive at one of the most pivotal lessons: God’s ultimate intention in the cross. This chapter opens our eyes to a profound distinction between the work of the cross and the way of the cross. The work is finished—once for all, dealing with the old man. The way is ongoing—embraced daily by the new man as we live unto God.

For many, the cross has been about personal victory, healing, or power. But this chapter shifts us into what God receives through the cross: sons who no longer live for themselves but live to reveal Christ, even in weakness and suffering. We don’t die daily to sin—we’ve already been crucified with Christ. But we now embrace the daily way of the cross, where His life flows through our yieldedness, weakness, and fruitfulness.

This is not a loss—it is divine gain. The call to daily conformity to Christ’s dying becomes the gateway to resurrection power and lasting fruit. As Nancy shares, it is not “doing” but “dying” that produces life.

Here we go!

We have now reached the highway of realization—a place where we don’t just receive life from God but begin living by the life of Another. This chapter reveals that God's purpose has always been sonship, even before the fall. Through the resurrection life of Christ, we are lifted from Adam’s family into a new creation life that is resurrected, reigning, and realizing.

This new life is not produced by our efforts—it is Christ Himself living in us. We don’t just receive His life as a gift, we live in union with it. In this, we reign—not by force or dominance, but through surrender, through loving not our lives even unto death, and by embracing God's purpose for us in the world.

True Christian living is not imitative—it’s creative. We are God’s workmanship, designed to walk in the good works He prepared for us. Now is the time to move forward—not just cleansed or positioned—but commissioned to live out His purpose on the earth.

Here we go!

In this special episode, Nancy McCready reflects on Chapters 10–12 of Ultimate Intention as Nancy McCready Ministries celebrates its anniversary. Rather than pausing the journey, she leads us deeper into it—centering us again on God's eternal purpose: that we would live by the life of Another, in full dependency, sonship, and satisfaction in the Father.

We are reminded that the cross was never about giving us strategies for self-improvement or religious success. It was about ending what could never produce for God—and resurrecting a new kind of life altogether. One that lives unto Him, not just for ourselves. The blood satisfies the Father first, and if He is satisfied—so are we.

This is a call back to God's original design: not to sanctify the curse, but to walk in the freedom and clarity of life by the Spirit—as sons, shoulder to shoulder, fulfilling the Father's intention.

Here we go!

As we continue learning to live from the Father’s viewpoint, Chapter 12 brings deeper clarity: the cross is not simply about what we gain—it’s about what God realizes for Himself. Many live with a salvation complex, using the cross for victory, blessing, and breakthrough. But the true work of the cross is to bring an end to self and usher in life unto God.

Through union with Christ in His death and resurrection, we are cut off from the old family of Adam and grafted into Christ—a new root, a new source, a new life. This is more than a doctrinal position; it’s a radical shift in purpose. God is not simply offering us a better version of self—He’s forming sons who live entirely from Him and unto Him.

The cross is not a threshold to self-improvement but a terminal to self. In His death, we are made alive unto God. And this is where the real walk begins.

Here we go!

In this chapter, we gain a vital and clarifying view: the cross and the blood are not the end goal—God's ultimate intention is still centered in His Son. While the cross is central to redemption, it is not the final focus. We must not live with a salvation complex, but instead return to the Father's overarching purpose—realization, not just recovery.

The blood is first and foremost for God, not for our emotions or personal sense of cleansing. It satisfies His requirements, not ours. When we accept this truth by faith, it clears our conscience and opens the way to fellowship. We are not saved by one basis and kept by another—daily cleansing and access come from the blood alone.

This is the gateway to deeper union. God doesn’t cleanse the old nature—He crucifies it. The blood settles our guilt, and the cross deals with who we are apart from Him. Until we rest in God's satisfaction with the blood, we remain confused and self-reliant.

Here we go!

This chapter brings us face-to-face with the impossible call of God—a life that cannot be lived by natural strength but only by total dependence on Him. From the beginning, God never intended man to live apart from Him. Adam stood at the crossroads between self-reliance and life union with God. That choice remains for us today.

The tree of life symbolizes participation in God’s divine, giving nature. The tree of knowledge represents grasping, independence, and the soul-driven life. When Adam chose the latter, humanity began to live by the soul rather than the spirit. But redemption restores us to God’s original order—where the soul submits and expresses the Spirit within.

God calls us not to strive or produce, but to exchange strength and live the Him-possible life. Only by learning to appropriate and participate can we mature into true sons who live from Him and unto Him.

Here we go!

From the Father’s eternal perspective, His purpose has never been shaped by sin or time—it has always been to raise sons who grow in union with Him. Chapter 9 reveals four phases of His divine plan: creaturehood, sonship, heirship, and throneship. Each phase invites us not just to receive life from God but to participate in His purpose.

We learn that Adam was not created with divine life, but with the potential for it. God’s goal was not merely to restore a lost paradise, but to form mature sons through moral choices, spiritual development, and shared rulership. Sonship is a starting point, not a final destination.

Are we merely surviving on experiences? Or are we growing in character and capacity to participate in all God longs to share? His ultimate intention is not just our salvation—it’s our growth into Christlike maturity and our place on the throne with Him.

From the Father’s viewpoint, the cross is not just a redemptive act in time—it is an eternal principle of divine life. Long before Calvary, the cross existed in the heart of God as the rule by which the Father, Son, and Spirit live in complete, self-giving fellowship. This same cross is what He desires to inwork into a vast family of sons.

We reflect on Adam’s invitation to embrace this way of life and how his choice shaped humanity’s course. Jesus, the last Adam, fully embodied the divine way—doing nothing for, of, or with Himself apart from the Father. His life revealed the eternal cross principle: living to give, serve, and share.

Will we only accept the cross for our benefit, or will we embrace the inwrought cross as our way of life? The Father still seeks sons who live by the same eternal rule revealed in Christ. Here we go!

Many use the cross for their own ends, missing its deeper purpose—what it realized for God. This chapter invites us to move beyond personal benefit and into the radical rectification the cross brings. It’s a complete reordering of our life around God's original intention.

We are introduced to the idea of a divine philosophy—not worldly wisdom, but Christ Himself as the way of life. When we live from this God-centered vision, everything changes: our purpose, our relationships, and our view of suffering.

Let us no longer live unto ourselves, but unto Him. For in Him, we discover a new world—a new pattern and purpose of life that fully satisfies the Father’s heart. Here we go!

📚 Summer Book Series: Ultimate Intention - Chapter 6

'To be with Christ in God means to look out through God's eyes, to see and interpret and relate all things to Him.' - DeVerne Fromke

In this summer reading episode, we consider the four changes that take place when we are ‘made new’ according to 2 Corinthians 5:17:

1. New Viewpoint: See ourselves as God sees us

2. New Relatedness: Understand how all things work for His purpose

3. New Occupation: Be Christ's ambassador, not just working for Him, but Him working through us

4. New Yardstick: Measure your life against God's ultimate intention

Let's shift our focus from self to God, from getting to giving, and from our desires to His ultimate intention. Here we go!
