The cannabis market is no stranger to unethical business practices. I want to point out a few popular brands who are essentially household names at this point. The brands I’m talking about today are 710Labs, Jungle Boys, and Stiiizy.

 I want to give a big shout out to the Instagram account @Phosphoload for taking the time to document these companies producing/selling toxic products. 

Selling products contaminated with powder mildew, mites, pesticides, and who knows what else, is bad for the health of any individual, but could be deadly to an immunocompromised consumer. When operating in a consumables market, product consumption safety goes above all else.

Ive been out adventuring around Southern California this past week and I have to say, San Diego is way less strange than LA. The traffic is also much, much better. So for this week, I wanted to share some of the terp tales from my travels! BIG SHOUTOUT TO R3TROWAVE, after being burned at the dispo for some “top shelf” planty tasting boof rosin. 

My favorite part of the trip, hands down, was going up to Joshua Tree national park! It’s roughly a 3.5 hour drive from San Diego and so worth it. The rock formations out there are truly mesmerizing and you can go bouldering if you want! There’s plenty of hiking and even just driving around is gorgeous! I also finished off my Cherry Poppers done by SuperDope. This legacy market brand definitely brought the heat with this runtz cut. If I had to make a hiking recommendation, I’d for sure go to hidden valley! The views are absolutely incredible! Arch Rock is a great location too!

2022 was by far the hashiest year on record! Here's my top five favorite episodes from this year! It took me a whole week to narrow them down! I hope you have enjoyed the ride so far, and I can't wait to see what 2023 has in store! 

5. Terpene Therapy #017:  - I really like this episode because it introduced me to a record that I was surprised I’d never heard before. This episode is part 3 of the 1st terpiest album list from @_cr.iii_ and we smoked some vampire slayer from one of the previous who’s who drops! We also used my @kylou.glass multi-artist collab recycler! 

4. Terpene Therapy #033: Mescaline Containing Cacti/Leave The Peyote Alone! - I really like this episode because it branches out a bit from the general idea of Terpene Therapy and discusses Psychedelic Compounds! I like this one because mescaline has an interesting molecular structure and pharmacology! While it does have activity at the 5-HT2 receptor sites in the body, it also has activity on dopamine and adrenal release in the body. This sets mescaline apart from Psilocybin or LSD. 

3. Terpene Therapy #001 - this list wouldn’t be complete without the first episode! I was so scared to upload this first episode that I almost didn’t do it! But instead of listening to doubt and fear, I decided to say fuck it and put out the episode! It feels clunky and the production isn’t the best but it makes me so proud to look back on! The power of sticking with a valuable idea is something that can’t be replaced. 

2. Terpene Therapy #024 : Interview with @maxselectseeds - this episode was my first interview with someone who isn’t a KY local! I really recommend you go check out this episode, as he has a wild story! We discuss consciousness while in a coma and that’s all I’ll say about that! Also, if you’re looking for some rare terps to add to the seed collection, then look no further!

1. Terpene Therapy #009: Interview With @kylou.glass and @backwood_buddy - this episode got the ball rolling! I think this one made me realize the value of Terpene Therapy! I also realized I really enjoy interviewing and having conversations with new people! Even though she is from Chicago, is a mountain witch from deep in the Appalachian wilderness. The vocal timbre is unmatched on this record! Very few songs feel like they are haunted, this is one of them! And as always, “It won’t be long before it’s really shining, It’s every season where it is I’m going.”

Phantom Regret by Jim - The Weeknd 

I won't spoil this one, just give it a listen right after a dab!

It provides a feeling of arriving, like you’re wandering through a snow covered pine forest and you finally reach clearing.
2. Crack Up (Choral Version) - Fleet foxes : This song is something very special. The recording took place at a live concert in Switzerland and the audio quality, intonation, and the harmonic/timbre combinations are all top notch! Also, the choir sounds like the northern lights. 
3. Trois Gymnopédies: Gymnopedie no. 1 - Eric Satie : composed in 1888 for solo piano, this piece really feels like a dark, windy, and snowy night. You might have a fire in the fire place and the hash edibles are melding you with the couch! The world is still; you can sleep now. 
4. Clarity - Mac Miller : I am grateful that this song exists. Thank you. 
5. A.W.O.L. - Earthgang : this duo is one of my favorite groups from the south. Some of my favorite production and song writing is from their first two records and this one in particular sticks out from their discography!

Today we talk about some new additions to the studio, new appreciations for full melt hash, new ideas, and last but not least new laws!

On January 1 2023, Kentucky residents will be able to obtain a medical cannabis license and possess up to 8 ounces of cannabis from any licensed dispensary in the US with proof of purchase! There are 21 eligible conditions as of right now. This is a very exciting time for the cannabis community and market in Kentucky! Our state has a rich history with cannabis and I am excited to see what our market blossoms into over the next decade!
