LA-based comic Kris Rubio 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐑𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐨 🇵🇭🇺🇸 (@krisrubioartist)uses his musical comedy style and high energy wit to cast an ever-expanding net amongst the stand up community, constantly touring and creating viral content for the world to enjoy. You can see him performing all over town. In this podcast interview, Kris and I discussed mental health awareness and to see more of a community feel here in the Comedy community especially because everyone is so mentally unhealthy. Kris immigrated as a child from Manila into LA and grew as a comic alongside other seasoned comics such as Tymon Shipp, Kimberly Clark, Hugh Moore and Nancy Lee here in the comedy scene. Shoutout to Mark Kraus, Teresa Lo and others.thank you so much, Kris!! fun interviewKris is an Aries i think that's why we get along.

Ryan Bennett @beniciodelryan hails from Flint, MI, a predominantly black area (even the water was black). Now in LA, he’s a comedy fixture, delivering stories so personal they’re borderline TMI. Picture your shameless buddy at the party, telling wild tales. He’s the brains behind the award-winning short Rob Is Terminal (writer/director/star), popped up on Dead Silent (Investigation Discovery), and blew up on Instagram (@beniciodelryan) with his Porta Potty Lifehack reel—4.3 million views and counting.I met Ryan while hosting the weekly Friday open mic at flappers in 2013 and then when he would show up at fourth wall open mics with me. I always admired Ryan's ability to go off the cuff improvisationally and write punchy material and learned a lot from watching him. It was awesome to talk to him about all things psilocybin, Michigan, working in restaurants, libertarianism, biohacking and comedy as well as his taste in women. Thank you so much, Ryan! You can catch Ryan all over town at clubs here in LA. By the way, as you can tell, he was a huge hottie when he was a teenager, probably would have made Michael Jackson's list of favorite people. Ryan's favorite comedians are Bill Cosby, Louis CK and Ian Ira Rousso. Just kidding. He actually likes David Smith.

Bert Hung @berthungcomedy , local LA Taiwanese American comedian, lives in San Gabriel Valley, performs all around Hollywood and LA areas. #terrybupodcast #losangelescomedyscene I met Bert in 2023 while doing mics around fourth wall Hollywood Comedy and Defnoodles Comedy Club. I feel like both of us getting into trouble for saying weird things but I think Bert‘s heart is in the right place 😂 Bert is never afraid to say what he believes in and he’s always been supportive of me!!! Bert thank you so much! 😊 this episode was super chill and fun. PS 수민씨 그냥 웃길려고 얘기한거니까 죄송해요 😂#asianamericancomedians #losangelesasiancomedians

KaliKa is a seasoned stand up comedian from New York City. She has performed in EVERY major comedy club both on the east and west coast. She is not enamored with the older white people in this episode. She talks about the comedy scene in LA and what it means to be a FUNNY female comedian. Please follow her at kalikacomedy on IG and TikTok. We had a blast talking to each other!! I am a big believer in the goddess Kali of Hinduism and Kali happened to have her same name LOL ... Kali and I were in NYC at the same time although she was there a long longer than I have and was acquainted with many successful comedians like Yannis Pappas of "Das It" Maurica fame. Kali is from Dominican Republic and hilarious and speaks fluent Spanish. I learned a lot listening to her. She has very strong biting takes on the comedy world, her journey and the racism at large. We talked a lot about God, spirit, depression, spirituality, comedy and also shitty people and neighbors. Thank you so much, Kali!!

Lin Sun is a Comedy Booker, Comedienne, Writer, Actress, Cambodian-American single mom with a dash of dark humor. She books at the Comedy Chateau and was the first person to book me when I first moved to LA in 2023 at the Chateau international comedy festival. I've also learned a ton watching Lin perform comedy herself at venues like the Crow and the Ice House. She was featured on The Laugh Factory’s Instagram page, where her video got over 1 million views. In October of 2023 she released her first one hour special, called Cambodian Renegade. We had a lot of fun topics to talk about likeBaklava Cambodians in Long BeachHer son EthanFelix at the Comedy ChateauTerry getting angry on social mediaEast coast vs West coastAsian traumaetc.I should have cut out a lot of it but i just left it in. I think we had really good on-screen conversation chemistry. Congratulations to Lin for finding a hot boyfriend. Also around the 50:35 mark on the youtube clip, the Burbank police interrupted our conversation and we caught it on tape LOL ... soooo ridiculous. Thank you so much, Lin!

Dwight Pryde is a Stand Up Comedian, Actor, and Writer working and living in Los Angeles, who's also a chef! He came all the way to LA from Texas and took the LA comedy scene by storm since 2018. I first saw Dwight around Badger and Jam mics and also at Best comedy club near me and we often worked on material together. Dwight has a brilliant Taurus mind and a smooth, strong charisma and voice that makes him stand out. I learned a lot from talking to him this afternoon. Thank you so much, Dwight. Please catch him performing all over Los Angeles at clubs like The Laugh Factory!Really ironically, we talked about spirituality a lot and reincarnation of the spirit which is basically all I care about lately LOL so we must be on the same frequency wave length. Dwight actually told me I might get cancelled if I am not careful with my comedy around February 2025 and I got into trouble around April 2025 for saying a lot of weird things on social media LOL Dwight is a prophet.

End of the Road!

I think Claire ONeil and JP were there. also seth plummer and yudhi sharma
