  • Maxi Witrak (woman of many talents, comedian, equestrian, fitness/nutrition coach, NOT LGBTQ)

Maxi Witrak is a tomboy learning to be a tomwoman. After a heavily regimented upbringing as a competitive equestrian, her stand-up comedy speaks about standing up to the status quo, chasing her teenage dreams, and the unbridled disappointment of being a nineties kid in a modern world. She has performed around the world, including headlining Boom Chicago Comedy Festival in Amsterdam, hosting Windsor and Chatham Comedy Festivals, and appearing regularly at the world famous Hollywood Improv and Comedy Store. I was so excited to have her for a chat on this podcast!!! Maxi was super chill even though I tried to offend her. This one was taped back in the summer of 2024.

  • Madison Bakich interview (LA comedian, former Groundlings grad, former Floridian, crushing it)

Madison Bakich is a talented comic who performs all over LA including clubs such as The Hollywood Improv and The Comedy Store. She is originally from Florida. She did improv at the Groundlings. I've always admire Madison's standup material and was glad to be able to ask her a bunch of questions at my then studio city apartment. I can only imagine her comedy career and comedic material blowing up in the near future. This one was taped back in summer of 2024.

  • Alex Berg interview (Gen Z comedian/Indiana native)

Alex Berg gets mistaken as Jesse Eisenberg a lot although he's not Jewish. When I first met him, I thought he was Jesse Eisenberg and I got super excited for no reason.

Alex is a Gen-Z LA comedian/Indianapolis native who moved here to California to pursue the standup life. He's one of few Gen-Z people I get along with. I think I'm older than him by about 50 years. He also seems pretty smart despite his appearance. Alex is great at weaving in and out of material & leaning into spontaneity on stage. I saw Alex at my first ComedyBlvd show killing it in 2023. He regularly hosts at the Flappers Comedy Club on Thursdays. We talked about his childhood upbringing in Indiana, LA comedy scene, his journey into comedy and his love of Superman/Batman Beyond/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

  • Dinara Kerey (Kazakhstani comedienne interview)

Dinara's been killing it in Germany where she resides. She's originally from Kazakhstan and she also studied at Korea University! wtf woah!! She also studied at University of North Carolina at Charlotte where a lot of my UNC friends were LOL Dinara was super intelligent and fun to interview.

Thank you so much for coming to the podcast, Dinara. I can only predict her comedy career exploding!

  • Jason Horton (LA comedian/viral content creator) interview

Jason Horton is a man of many talents - standup, improv comedian, viral content creator and author who has amassed a huge following on all major social media platforms including 650,000 on TikTok.

Jason was full of great advice on how to pursue what feels right, make courageous decisions in the direction of your dreams/genuine interests and to continue creating the kind of social media content that's not just a cookie-cutter replica of what everybody else/famous people are doing ... but to try to create something with a unique perspective that only you can create that nobody else can create because of your unique background/upbringing and something that perhaps the child version of you wish had existed when you were a kid in school.
I admire self-made people like Jason who followed their passions, enthusiasm and unique talents to create something unique in their life beyond traditional careers that we were taught to pursue. He also crushes every chance he gets in the LA comedy scene, I see him often at Fourth Wall, Lyric Hyperion, Flappers and more since 2023. He's also a NJ/east-coast native just like myself.
Thank you so much, Jason! Please follow him at @thejasonhorton IG and youtube at  @jasonhorton  and also https://www.tiktok.com/@thejasonhorton?lang=en

  • Cam G (LA comedian interview)

Cam G is a former NJ/New-Yorker just like myself whom I found rocking it at places like Def Noodles, Improv, Comedy Store, Third Wheel and more. He hosts Saturdays at Badger & Jam which is literally our favorite and I visit him often as he makes everybody feel welcome. Cam G's a strong writer-style comedian whose jokes strike very differently from others and kills every chance he gets. His sense of humor shines through in his writing and delivery. He was also a former screenwriter which I had no idea. We also talked about shared frustrations trying to make it in comedy and when we are going to quit comedy lol. Thanks so much for visiting, Cam!
