Religion is a constituent feature of every known society. It has been both a subject of great interest and intense debate. The study of religion has been diverse because of its influence on different dimensions in the human world. The sociology of religion studies religion in relation to social realities. Gender is a big part of our social life as it affects every aspect of our lives.  Society creates roles and duties separately for men and women where the status and roles of women are permanently assigned lower than the men. This is the social construction viewpoint.

However, not all agree with this viewpoint as others say that the different roles of the sexes, i.e. sexual division of labour, are mechanically caused by their genetic composition. This implies that the genes of both the sexes direct them to behave in specific ways, for men, to hunt and protect; for women, to reproduce and nurture the growth of children, be passive. Stay tuned and listen to grasp the argument fully.

Gender is a big part of our social life as it affects every aspect of our lives.  We(society)assign roles and duties to men and women distinctly and get accustomed to them even without knowing it. It has become so ingrained in our minds and attitudes that it is not easy to separate it from our lives.

However, it is essential to identify that gendering(or dividing roles of men and women) is not so natural as we make it out to be. Let us listen to what exactly it is (Gender) and how it differs from “Sex”. Stay tuned to know in detail the arguments given to prove that the role assigned to men (to be brave, to be less emotional) and women (to be gentle, to be emotional) are created by society and not based on biological differences.

Anxiety is a normal part of life. It happens to the best of us. Feeling anxious or overwhelmed is considered to be a normal and healthy response to stressful situations, but of course, that doesn’t make it pleasant.

Fortunately, there are a few quick tips and practices which have been proven to help cope with anxiety.
