Podcast on "Gender as a Social Construct" by Zukichani Kikon, 5th Semester, Department of Sociology, Tetso College.
Gender roles refers to the expectations of how a person should think, speak, dress and interact in the society based on the biological sex, i.e., male or female. In this podcast entitled 'Gender as a social construct', I will discuss how society differentiates between males and females, between men and women- and how they are socialized differently and different roles assigned, on the basis of how a woman or a man is expected to behave, according to societal norms.
