Guardians of the Whills.
The first film in the Star Wars Story line added some incredible new characters who helped change the galaxy forever with their daring mission to Scarif. But who were these people before and what lead them to this point? Luckily the literature is here to fill in those gaps.
In this supplemental episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Bruce Gibson to talk about Greg Rucka's book about Baze and Chirrut, Guardians of the Whills. We discuss force religions, meditations on the force, what the book adds, the force, terrorists against the Empire and our ratings.

Yesteryear watch-along.
We all wish we could go back in time and help out our younger self—give advice, maybe tell our parents to be a bit more understanding. The more ambitious among us might pretend to be our own distant cousin, save our own life, and teach past us the Vulcan nerve pinch. That’s exactly what Spock does in the famous Star Trek: The Animated Series episode “Yesteryear.”
In this episode of Saturday Morning Trek, hosts Aaron Harvey and Joe Slepski engage in the show’s very first watch-along—which leaves us with more questions than it answers—including whether He-Man is actually Spock. So get your DVDs, Blu-rays, or Netflix ready, grab a bowl of your favorite cereal, and set out to Vulcan with us!

We all want to escape from our lives sometimes. What if you could really do it? What if you couldn’t remember the life you left behind? And what if it was all against your will? That’s what happens to the crew of the Starship Voyager in the seventh-season episode “Workforce.”
In this episode of The Ready Room, hosts C Bryan Jones and Larry Nemecek are joined by Kay Elizabeth Shaw of To The Journey and Bruce Gibson of Literary Treks to discuss this story of the Voyager crew’s other life as employees of a power facility on the planet Quarra.

Season Three Retrospective Part 2.
Season three of Star Trek: Enterprise was an brave experiment of storytelling with the franchises first season long story arc. As a response to the events of September 11, 2001, the creators of the show wanted to take Star Trek in a new, darker direction.
In this episode of Warp Five, hosts Floyd Dorsey and Brandon-Shea Mutala are joined by Patrick Devlin for the second part in our season three retrospective. We discuss the episodes "Impulse," "Exile," "The Shipment," and "Twilight." We also discuss the history of the Xindi, how "Exile" was inspired by Beauty and the Beast, and Doppler effects in space.

Alien: Covenant.
In 2012, director Ridley Scott gave fans their first taste of the Aliens universe with the prequel Prometheus. Even though the movie did well with the critics, the fan response was less than enthusiastic, yet Scott was undeterred from seeing his vision into the next film.
In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Brandon-Shea Mutala to talk about Alien: Covenant. We discuss a sequel to a prequel, creator vs creation, if it's just a horror movie, the characters, some dumb moves, Tennessee, the music, 100% gorgeous and our ratings.
