Hell’s Heart.
When James T. Kirk defeated Kruge on the doomed Genesis Planet, a noble Klingon house was left leaderless. With no heir apparent, the result was a power vacuum. The House of Kruge remained without a leader for a hundred years, until a bitter Klingon named Korgh sets in motion a plan to claim Kruge's house for himself. It's a tale of treachery, deceit, and dishonor a century in the making!
In this episode of Literary Treks hosts Matthew Rushing, Dan Gunther and Bruce Gibson talk about Star Trek Prey: Hell’s Heart. We discuss the story inspirations, adding to Kruge, Kirk’s pain, relevant themes, Klingon exceptionalism, an illusionist, media and our ratings.
In the news we talk about the latest Strange New Worlds release.

The Dark Knight Rises.
When The Dark Knight was released in 2008 it was heralded as the crowning achievement in superhero cinema and would go on to have Heath Ledger win an Oscar posthumously for his portrayal of the Joker. All of the success and accolades meant that the finale for the trilogy had a lot of pressure on it to be the Batman film fans deserved.
In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by John Mills and Tristan Riddell to talk about The Dark Knight Rises. We discuss the opening, the Dent/Rachel deception, the Howard Hughes era, reactions, the Joker and his antithesis, Catwoman, Blake, relevancy, the end and ratings.

Origin of the Borg.
Ask a Star Trek fan about the how the Borg collective got started, and you might hear a few different theories. One is that the collective was started after V'ger joined with Decker in Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Others point to stories in Star Trek literature that reveal the Borg Queen's rise to power over countless millions. But the truth is, nothing in canon states how the Borg came to be. Therefore, as promised at the end of the last show, Char and Tristan put their collective heads together and come up with their own version of how the Borg originated in this episode of To The Journey. Did their story match up to any theories of your own? Contact us at trek.fm/contact or on Twitter (@ohtheprofanity and @TheInsaneRobin) and let us know!

The crew of the Enterprise is struck with amnesia. Worf commands! Picard leads! Data makes drinks! And MacDuff sounds the charge to carry out their mission, and destroy the Lysian Central Command. But who are these Lysians? And - come to think of it - who is MacDuff? All of that plus movie time with Riker and Ro when we put Conundrum… somewhere.
