When the erudite Democrat Josiah "Jed" Bartlet is elected U.S. president, he installs his administration. He places confidants from his electoral campaigns in the White House. Each of these people play a significant role in the Washington power game: the Chief of Staff (Leo McGarry), his deputy (Josh Lyman), Communications Director (Toby Ziegler), deputy (Sam Seaborn, and later, Will Bailey), and press secretary (CJ Cregg). Also in key positions are the assistants of each of the power players. We follow these people through many political battles, as well as some personal ones. Also playing roles are the First Lady (Abigail Bartlet), the President's daughters (Elizabeth, Eleanor, and Zoey), and the personal aide to the President (Charlie Young). All make this series, which supposedly follows the political events (often paraphrasing historical reality) almost day by day, more than merely a political soap. The demands of office on each character show the personal sacrifice and the forced compromise of ideals and principles for tactical necessity and allows some insights into many aspects of U.S. society and international politics.

Scott J. Ramsey is the director, co-writer, and editor of "X", the first feature length movie presented by The Foundation, which he wrote with frequent collaborator and "X" producer Hannah Katherine Jost.

He is also the vocalist and songwriter half of queer goth-pop music act The Major Arcana, alongside "X" producer Kevin De Nicolo.

A proud alumnus of the Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Alpha at San Francisco State University where he earned a BA in Fiction Filmmaking and befriended many of his "X" collaborators, Ramsey was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently lives in Los Angeles.

Major Arcana

The Major Arcana is a queer electropop/new wave music act formed in San Francisco, CA in 2017, while creating original music for the indie queer erotic thriller film X. The film's director/co-writer Scott J. Ramsey serves as vocalist and songwriter, while Kevin De Nicolo, one of the film's producers and co-composer, serves as instrumentalist.

The Major Arcana's original intent was to create an immersive storyworld that involved storytelling on three different levels: the music, the film, and music videos. However, the creative process of weaving the film's score spawned the creation of an entire collection of songs, which make up The Major Arcana's debut album At the Devil's Ball. The Major Arcana's music style is baroque, goth, queer pop, inspired by new wave artists like Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Oingo Boingo, and Pet Shop Boys, as well as contemporary electropop artists like St. Vincent and Goldfrapp, with a theatrical vocal style and queer, gothic masquerade imagery.

David grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where finding fantasy novels was pretty challenging, and finding fantasy novels with diverse characters was downright impossible. Now he lives in Denver, Colorado, and write the books he always wanted to read.

Not all magicians go to schools of magic.
