Thad's Talks episodes

  • Difficult Times - Thad's Episcopal Church
    Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:1-9
Homework: Ask for help. As Jean Vanier-- founder of L'Arche communities-- says, "Life comes from the recognition that I can't do it on my own." This week, live into that, and reach out to others for support. Practice asking for help.
If you or someone you know is suffering from depression or suicidal thoughts, it is particularly important that you not isolate or tackle it on your own. If you or someone you know is having a difficult time, call the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).

    Scripture: 2 Timothy 1
Homework: What gifts has God given you personally? Are you using those gifts? How you can you be more mindful about using those gifts? • No Account - Quinton Peeples
    Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:17-25
Homework: Confession reimagined. This week, we step into the practice of being in relationship with others by seeking out confession. The confession practice is this: identify who God is calling you to be, and ask someone close to you to hold you accountable to that vision. It is a challenge, but it is also a life-giving, vision-making endeavor. Through all of that, know that God loves you no matter what.
    Have a great week!
