  • Olivia Rees

Olivia Rees a multi-talented musician as well as an accomplished singer-songwriter. Rees

realized early on that her destiny was to become a musician. In her early childhood, Rees

took piano lessons, so as to further developed her musical talent. She then taught herself how

to play the guitar when she was only 12 years old, driven by an immense passion and

ambition that has guided her throughout her career.

At only 24 years old, she has already collaborated with multiple renowned acts, such as L.A.

rapper Mr D.M.A., as well as his brother Eddy Roze (sons of Gilbert Rozon, founder of

acclaimed Canadian series “Just for Laughs”).

Although she enjoys the occasional collaboration with other musical acts, such as the one

with the Rozon brothers, Olivia Rees is a highly independent artist who toils on everything

involved in her releases – from instrumental, to lyrics, to crafting that unique edgy sound that

sets her apart from other artists of her generation.

With an intense and often unhappy past, Rees saw two choices early on in her life: either

allow pain and depression to swallow her up, or use her torment to rise stronger and create

something beautiful out of the darkness. Thus, many of her songs have something of a darker

undertone, but this only lends them more meaning. Songs like “Darker Night” and “Trust

Issues” in particular speak out to people who have been abandoned and neglected by their

loved ones. As a survivor of abuse herself, Rees channels much of her suffering in her music

and explores a vast canvas of emotion through her lyrics, from betrayal to loss to loneliness,

but also hope and finding your inner strength.

Just to showcase her artistic versatility, Rees has also penned some quality “slow” tunes, like

“Leave it Alone”, as well as some veritable party tracks, like “Sugar and Spice”.

Although frequently compared to well-known pop artists such as Rihanna, Olivia Rees is a

little harder to define or to box in into any one genre. There are definitely some clear traces of

pop in her music, but she also has R&B influences, even drifting toward hip-hop and rap at

times. It can honestly be said that her sound is a unique and exciting creation – Rees brings a

certain edginess to your regular pop tunes. And it’s exactly this edge that has always allowed

her to connect to her audience and wow at the events where she performs.

Having traveled extensively and lived in places like London, UK and even Dubai in the United

Arab Emirates, Rees is currently based in Toronto, Canada. When she is not performing at

various local venues and music events, she is most likely to be found writing new tunes at

home, or recording in the studio. For her debut album, she collaborated with Cleveland Sound

    Labs.

  • Faust Ruggiero

Faust A. Ruggiero’s professional career spans almost 40 years, and is diversified and compelling, as it has consistently established new and exciting cutting-edge counseling programs in its pursuit of professional excellence and personal life enhancement. He is a published research author, clinical trainer, and a therapist who has worked in settings that have included clinics for deaf children, prisons, nursing homes, substance abuse centers, inpatient facilities, and as the President of the Community Psychological Center in Bangor, Pennsylvania. In that capacity, he developed the Process Way of Life counseling program, and has developed it into a formal text presented in the Fix Yourself Handbook.

Upon graduating from Mansfield University in 1977, Mr. Ruggiero enrolled in the graduate program in Psychology at Illinois State University. There, with a dual major in clinical and developmental psychology, with a minor in research, he assisted in the publication of several research articles, including his thesis “The effects of prosocial and antisocial television programs on the cognitions of children”.

Upon leaving graduate school, Mr. Ruggiero began working with Antoinette Goffredo counseling services providing psychological intervention to adolescent deaf children. There, he helped Ms. Goffredo develop a behavioral management program for profoundly deaf children with residual hearing.

In 1982, he accepted a position with the Lehigh Valley Alcohol Counseling Center. There he provided individual counseling services to clientele suffering from alcohol abuse and addiction, including the introduction to both the twelve-step recovery process, and family and intervention services. It was at the alcohol counseling center, where Mr. Ruggiero was asked to develop a Phase 2 counseling program for individuals convicted of drunk driving offenses.

In 1984, Mr. Ruggiero left the Alcohol Counseling Center to pursue a treatment position at Northampton County prison. There, he provided psychological and substance abuse intake and counseling services to inmates. He coordinated all substance abuse services, and program development services for inmates. The program consists of over fifty internal human processes, which can be accessed and developed to help clients address the various conditions which were affecting their lives.

After the program was developed, it was rigorously researched and tested, and changes were made culminating in the approach presently being used by Mr. Ruggiero at the Community Psychological Center.

In the summer of 2016, Mr. Ruggiero decided to develop the Process Life Program into a text that can be published, and would help people in need address the difficult situations that are affecting their lives. The Fix Yourself Handbook was completed in December of 2019. On February 1st, 2020, The Fix Yourself Handbook received the Silver Award from The Nonfiction Authors Association. On May 2, 2020, it received the Gold Award from Literary Titan.
