Thank You, Five

It's Pride Month!! So we're traveling back to the late 70s to see the coming out and relationship story of a terrible human being and his therapist and the people he screws over! Just in time for Pride!

In olden days, Public Enemy Number One couldn't make the boat so Billy snuck on to try and win the heart of Hope. Much shenanigans ensued and are about to ensue.

We're traveling back in time, y'all! Cole Porter's epic jaunt was originally supposed to be about a shipwreck, but then an actual shipwreck happened and everyone thought it would bit a bit gauche. So we ended up this show about costume switches, mistaken identities, and tap numbers!

We're back with friend of the pod, James Higgins to go over Act 2 of Sunday in the Park with George. We're talking themes and music theory but don't let that scare you as it's utterly fascinating and might just change how you view this show, even if you already love it!!

It's April so it's time to head outside and enjoy the sunshine! And the park! And George!! Sondheim's work of art about making art! We're joined by Matt's fiance and composer James Higgins to talk about Sunday in the Park with George and all the sparkling musical notations contained within!

We end this month with the second act of Jesus Christ Superstar with special guest, Claire Willett! It's ALW's opus about the last week of Jesus, told in sung through rock opera style and we have a LOT to say.

We're joined by playwright, author, and internet celebrity Claire Willett to talk about Jesus Christ Superstar!!! We have a lot to say, but, trust us, it's worth it!!! If you want to check out more of Claire's works, go to http://clairewillettwrites.com/

We're back!! Well, mostly. Some of us aren't here mentally, though we're all physically here! Let's head back to OZ to see what happens after ... it all. For more Oz recaps, check out linktr.ee/OzRecap

We're joined by Justin Peavey, from the Wonderful Recap of Oz podcast, to talk about The Wizard of Oz!!! Which one? Well, it's a long yellow brick road to get to the stage production you've probably seen, so there's a lot to talk about, even though you probably know the story of a young girl who arrives in a new land and immediately kills the first person she encounters. Once again, content note, this show does deal with the aftermath of attempted self harm. Matt and David tackle the second act of the delightful little musical cigarette box that is She Loves Me. Will George and Amalia's fight mean they never reveal their love for each other? Will Georg get his job back? What about Ilona's trip to the library?
