The thing no one tells you about podcasting is: you have to pivot... A LOT!
In this episode, I share a story about how easy it is to talk ourselves out of recording an episode or to think that it's "too late" to publish.
I ran across this scenario in my other podcast (Cats: The Jellicle Ball episode). In the end, I'm glad I didn't scrap the idea or the episode.
We often forget that sharing a story, even if it's late or after the fact, can still be valuable and have an impact.
At the end of the episode, I also share an incredible story of how I landed on a Broadway stage in New York with the one and only Mariska Hargitay (Olivia Benson on Law and Order SVU)! 🙌🏽
This episode is all about Broadway and why we should consider pivoting an idea that didn't work out the way we hoped. After all, the show must go on!

This is Part 2 of a short series about creating boundaries in our podcasts.
This episode references the chapter "Islands" in Glennon Doyle's book, Untamed. That chapter is one of my favorite stories, and I reference it often. I hope this episode inspires you to treat your podcast like an island. Protect the space and protect your (podcast) peace!

The thing no one tells you about podcasting is... time zones can be a challenge.
Whether we mix up the time in our heads or accidentally write it down incorrectly, time zones are pesky little things!
In this episode, I share two cautionary tales (aka podcast horror stories) of podcast interviews derailed by time zone mix-ups.
It's an honest reminder that scheduling mistakes happen to everyone, but how you and your guest handle them says a lot about whether the conversation is worth pursuing.

If you're looking for a solid mic to start with, or you just wanna try something new, check out the Samson Q2U. It's a solid mic with a lot of flexibility that will last you a long time (if you don't break it like I did).
But the truth is, the best mic is the one you're actually gonna USE.

It's easy to over think during a podcast. Did that sound ok? Should I take this out?
The problem with overthinking is that it can slow us down too much.
To try to get back on track, I decided to create some guardrails, Top Chef-style: set a timer and give myself a set amount of time to edit. No more, no less. In doing so, I’m forcing myself to stop overthinking small details and to move the edit faster.
If you're an overthinker like me, and you need to get back on track, I hope this episode gives you some ideas!

It's not easy to focus on creativity when the world is on fire. Yet it is so important to share our voice and our art. It's a form of healing, connection, and storytelling.
If you're struggling to share your voice or looking for ideas for how to podcast during the chaos, this episode is for you.
In this episode, I share small, actionable ways we can use our podcast as a form of expression during chaotic times, and what we can learn from superstars like Bad Bunny.

In this episode, I'm sharing the presentation I did for the Latinas In Podcasting 2024 Virtual Summit where I shared my signature conversation, Your Mindset Is More Important Than Your Mic.
I always say that mindset is the fuel to podcasting. Although your mic is where it starts, your mindset is what keeps you going!
I created this presentation for Latinas In Podcasting just before I launched this podcast. In many ways, this was where it all started!
The 2025 Virtual Summit takes place October 23 -24. Join the FREE virtual summit or sign up for VIP access via my affiliate link.
