“Whether you have contractors or whether you have employees, meeting with them one-on-one to coach them, help them understand what your vision is for the company, and the work that you're doing is so beneficial to you and your company” - Kallai Plummer
So many meetings, so little time, right? Wrong! Working in a corporation has taught me so much about what should be a meeting and what should be an email and now I am bringing my knowledge to help you!
In this episode, we cover:
Tell me, what meetings do you have in your 9to5 or in your business that you can get rid of and make an email or a chat?

Have you ever felt like you were just doing it all, no matter if you were delegating as much as you possibly could, no matter if you were hiring all of the proper people, you still felt like you were in the hamster wheel? Same. I am talking a little bit. The mental shift that changed it all in my business.
And I'd like to walk you through this journey because I think it's important for us as women to understand why we feel like that. Why do we feel like we need to be doing it all? And sometimes, right? It's our environment. Sometimes it is the stories that we tell ourselves. And other times it is because we are doing it all and we need to scale back or delegate.
Tune in to learn how you can break this cycle!

Wouldn’t it be great if you could just run your business how you wanted? Wouldn’t it be even better if you were treated like you matter and were competent in your 9to5?
I think so too!
Working in a corporation can be a mixed experience. On one hand, a company hires you for your expertise, but on the other you have to fight to prove that you are competent. What is left is you getting up the gumption to leave corporate but those feelings of imposter syndrome and always looking for approval come with you. They are like a little shadow that creeps around.
In this episode, I walk you through my experience and how we can get you to the other side of that thinking. If you are feeling like you are lacking what it takes to run a business because of the experiences you have had in the past, I am here to give you some cheerleading and tell you different!
Tune in and you’ll discover:
Highlights:
00:52 Intro
01:33 My past working experience in corporate
04:49 Financial bottom line over building up your team

“But embodying this word courageous means that I have to step out and be someone that is living so authentically and be so open to change” - Kallai Plummer
How would it feel if you chose one word in 2023 that was the focal point of all of your goals? What word could you describe where you have been, the accomplishments you have made and where you want to go? What if that word was not something you chose but that was chosen for you?
Would you still embrace it?
This year, I am choosing to use a one word focus instead of setting big granular goals that I found made me feel worse instead of better in 2022. Choosing this word was not something that was picked out of thin air, but rather, me digging deep to find what is next.
In this episode, you’ll learn everything you need to find your own word by asking yourself some reflection questions and some questions that set you up for seeking what word you can match against your smaller goals to achieve your desires.
Tune in now and you’ll discover:
Highlights:
01:26 The craziness of December / January Organization
04:24 Last years goals and the failures
06:26 Journalling my accomplishments
10:44 One word focus

Today’s episode comes with a trigger warning: If you are sensitive to binge eating, body image, please do not continue to listen or read.
I never realized how much the way I treat, view and appreciate my body affects the way I show up in my business until a few years ago. Working in therapy to unpack this, helped me to understand how to get on the other side but also how I can reframe so that I am successful mentally in my business.
This raw episode allows me to show you how you are not alone.

While I think that making mistakes is a natural part of anything but especially owning a small business, some mistakes can be detrimental to your business's health and ultimately the survival of your company.
Taking these six things from our episode today into consideration when you are building your business, you always function without the rose-colored glasses and instead harness your power of being a thought leader in your service area. It allows personal growth and business growth beyond what we, as business owners, get into our heads about.
