How much Grace do you give to yourself and others?
.
2021 is full speed ahead. As we wrap up the end of Q1 (quarter one) of the not-so-new new year, I thought I would share with you what I've been learning so far from my word of the year - Grace.
.
We kept it short and sweet, but I shared with you a few stories of how my year has started and how Grace has played such a major role in this journey.
.
Grace is what I needed and it's been such a pleasurable lesson to be living.

Sarah Kelleher is the mastermind and voice behind the Psych and The City Podcast. She’s in the field of social work and on the journey to become a sex therapist. When Sarah’s IG crossed my path and I realized she had a podcast to go along with it, I knew I needed to have her on here.
We discuss the ever hidden topics of mental health and sexuality in today’s world, using human connection as a tool for growth and intimacy, what happens when we follow our interests despite our lack of self-trust at a younger age and how we all carry guilt and shame.
The depth of what we talk about in this episode truly holds a soft space in my heart, because all human beings are worthy of love and connection regardless of what potentially holds us back from fully embracing it.
Quotes:
“Connection, whatever that looks like, is a tool. How do we set ourselves up to feel a little bit better, a little bit safer, a little bit more okay in a space that is not okay?”
“Historically, the conversations around sex ebb and flow.”
“To heal together is a cool experience which doesn’t happen all the time, but it happens. Hearing someone talk about their shame or their guilt that they feel when maybe that guilt shouldn’t be there, but it is. It begs the question of, ‘wow, what guilt am I putting on myself or what shame am I carrying around that’s not warranted?’”

Shavonne, also known as Shay, is our modern bohemian soul guiding the way towards clarity.
In this episode, we discuss making career pivots by way of creative pursuits and side hustles, astrology, tarot cards and intuition. My favorite thing we touched on about pivoting is thinking about that ONE small little bread crumb, followed by another, putting together an entire yellow brick road.
We also talked about “faking it til you make it,” what it means to be open minded in today’s day and age and how taking time to ourselves is ridiculously important in regards to listening in on what we need and how to get it.
2021: Take it and run, ladies & gents!! The year is yours :)

If you or anybody you know and love is looking to buy and/or sell real estate in the near future, please don't hesitate to reach out HERE with any questions!
.
Stephanie Simbari is one helluva role model; hilarious, genuine, real, raw and wiser than her botox would suggest. Talking to Stephanie was like talking to a long lost friend, but I'm not sure if it's because I've always thought we were similar or because I've been listening to her podcast That's so Retrograde for years now.
.
Dating isn't a topic the So Retrograde girls talk much about, because they have bigger fish to fry, so I thought I'd get Stephanie on here to discuss life in her shoes out in LA when it comes to the journey of finding Mr. Right.
.
Here we talk online dating, "the before times," as she calls it, admitting we have needs and claiming them, embracing the space that covid has created for us in giving us a new chance to take our time, life after death, synchronicities, as well as relationship dynamics and releasing expectations. There's WAY more to it, but I don't want to give away any spoilers.
.
Who else misses comedy shows? I don't think five minutes go by throughout this entire hour conversation without some comedic relief. Not a bad way to spend your Valentine's Day weekend, amiright?

Hilay is a Feminine Magnetism Expert who gracefully steps into the light and shines her magic in the form of one-on-one coaching and even IGTV for the rest of us.
Just sitting down with Hilay for an hour really made me see how I have yet to fully embrace my sense of intuition, as I'm still working on consciously remembering to do so.
In this conversation, we discuss vibrational frequencies, being more receptive verses reactive, giving in and feeling the abandonment in a moment where our walls go up and our defensive, maybe judgmental nature starts to kick in, family dynamics and how to make even the littlest of decisions using our intuition.

Alexa Modero and Brett D'Alessandro, the founders of Backpacks for Life, have developed from what was a simple act of kindness Brett portrayed one day into a non-profit organization supporting and guiding our US Veterans.
Their mission has a soft spot in my heart, having had a grandfather that was a marine, but to know that there are people putting their lives on the line to fight for this country's freedom and come back feeling lost, at the very least, is extremely heart wrenching.
Thank you, Alexa and Brett, for being a resource.
In this episode, Alexa and I talk about Backpacks for Life and how it all began, we discuss rolling with the punches and how to kick start a new journey, as well as full circle moments and how the ripple effect is so real, tangible and undeniably a massive motivator to keep moving forward.

I, Allee Sprung, your host of Well & Why, decided it was time to provide a short and sweet episode with me, myself and I.
In these brief 10 minutes I talk about what I'm leaving behind in 2020 and how I'll be moving on from this oh-so-tragic annual breakup.
Newness is in the air with eagerness for fresh starts; to a healthier, wealthier and more fulfilling year ahead.
Wishing you nothing but love and self-compassion.
Cheers to you, my friend!

Dr. Lauren, the founder of Eating Unapologetically, is so extraordinarily wise!
The topics discussed in this conversation range from emotional eating, relationships, self regulation, the ebbs and flows of our food intake and how our structure of prepping and planning can come in so many shapes and forms!
My biggest takeaway is how when we create a system in our lives that supports being sustainable in some way, the most efficient way to stay on track is to make sure that our approach aligns with our values. Life requires energy!
Speaking of energy, Lauren exudes such a real sense of self and she inspires me to want to hop on board asap.
