We've all had someone try to sell us a product that they truly believe in, but have we ever stopped to consider that we've been commissioned to tell people about something that will change their life for the better?

So why do sometimes feel so awkward, or even ashamed, to tell people about what Jesus has done for us and can do for them?

Let us realize that God has called us to tell every person about His love for us like its the greatest sale that has ever happened... Why? Because He already paid the price.

The James Webb Space Telescope has given us new and more detailed views of the universe around us.

If we were to look at our own lives in the same kind of detailed way, we would see that our lives need to be nothing more than Christ and Him crucified. He is our hope, He is our joy, He is our way.

The Good Samaritan promised to return to check on the man he saved and pay the innkeeper back, likewise we must return to those who we show God's rest to and continue to minister in their lives.

Sometimes, however, that involves the pain of them rejecting our message and God's rest entirely.

What hope do we have then? How do we continue on? We talk about returning to the call that God has on us to make disciples!

If you want God's blessings to reign in your life, you've got to "put your money where you mouth is" as the old saying goes. When God sees us investing of ourselves, whether that is time, money, effort, or whatever else, He sees something that is worthwhile and that He desires to bless.

James wrote that faith without works is dead and in the story of the Good Samaritan we find a man who would have literally been dead had someone not taken action.

In our lives, we may see people that need our compassion and we might understand that we are not above helping, but without taking action to do something about their issue, that compassion and that humility does nothing and goes nowhere.

To reach and serve the lost we need to regain the sense of humility and servitude that Jesus showed us. In the story of the Good Samaritan, we see a priest and a Levite pass by without offering to help. Why would they do that? Because they thought that they were above helping.

We need to see the lost and not just care, but we need to also understand that we are not too good to help. Our things are not too important to us to sacrifice. Our dreams, our money, our lives are not above giving for the sake of the gospel. Afterall, Jesus gave it all.

Now it's our turn.

If we want to see a move of God, the first thing we need to learn is to look at the people we see around us with the compassionate eyes of Jesus. When He saw the pain and the hurts around Him, He allowed His heart to be moved with compassion and that compassion drove Him to change lives in a moment. That same compassion led Him to the cross to die for our sins.

Today we talk about how we can allow that consuming compassion to fill us and overflow us with the Spirit of God and let Him show us what He can do in the lives of those around us.
