Today, the NBA is King. March Madness rakes in billions. Both entities go to where they are with the help of two guys NOT featured in their rookie years sets: Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. We close out the decade by putting the 1979-80 Topps Basketball set under the microscope. We also say goodbye to NBA greats Walt Frazier, Rick Barry, and Pete Maravich.

Ray Fornio, aka "Ray From Philly",  joins me for a conversation about the cards we grew up collecting. Ray is the founder and driving force behind The Baseball Card Hall of Fame, which recently unveiled its latest inductees on the Ray From Philly YouTube channel. Great having Ray until technical challenges halted the game after 6 innings.

1970 Was a turbulent year in our world. Sports, as usual, made it all the more bearable. The AFL and NFL merged yet the design and aesthetics of the 1970 Topps football offering takes us even further back to late 50's.  3/4 length arm sleeves, crew cuts, prototypical football deployed to hold back the forces of the 1970's cultural explosion. Join me as I look back at 1970.

That Seventies Card Show takes a look back at the 1976 Topps Baseball Base and Traded sets.  As a youth, the Host collected this set from wax packs. As an adult with disposable income he purchased the complete set at thee 1991 National in Anaheim. As a middle-aged man he reminisces about the year 1976 with Dad Facts and useless trivia.
