Okay, so you don't doubt God's existence or your salvation, but you do doubt His plan sometimes. Join the club. For me, Romans 5 has been the chapter I navigate to when I need somewhere to start with my doubts.

The more I talk to those who have traveled this faith journey longer than I have, the more I realize it is common to doubt my salvation. I have moments when I didn't "feel saved." Maybe you're there now. God really does want to teach us about himself through our doubts. 

 

Are you doubting? You are not alone because there are a few people in my life who have shared with me their doubts about faith, God's goodness, and whether or not God really saves or even exists. Here are five things I have learned from an intense time of doubt in my own faith journey. 

From a conversation with a friend, I realized how much I make my decisions based on curiosity. Most of us do, just scroll down Pinterest and you'll see many fun graphics encouraging you to live curiously. The Bible tells us to live differently. 

 

I had an interesting conversation with a sale associate a few weeks ago that lead me to consider what the Bible says about the phrase, "Finding Your Truth." 

 

If we were called to a love like that which is found in Webster's Dictionary, we might be able to accomplish that, but since God calls us to love as He loves, it seems impossible.  Could it be that we aren't always tapping into a larger source? God is The Source, and sometimes, we could use encouragement in the realm of knowing more about His love for us. Would you meditate on these 20 Bible verses with me? 

What do we do with our shame? If you have had the shame of a failed relationship, or the shame of something you did in the past, you are not alone. Let's look at how Jesus interacted with people whose shame kept each individual from truly living. 

When expectations are unmet, anger and discontentment can sneak into our lives. The next step is to play the blame game; however, owning that we missed the mark and lost can be the first step to recovery.

Life after college can be rough. There are no more month-long breaks and naps in the middle of the day are a no-go. There is one thing I did post college that I would like to share, which was one of the hardest things I had to do but was worth the effort.
