    Going above and beyond the call of duty is something the St Olivers scout group have at it’s heart and over the lockdown period the scouts proved to be an important life line for vulnerable members in their community. From helping older people who were cocooning getting shopping and medication to completely overhauling the garden for a woman recovering from illness the scouts were on hand for anyone who needed their help during the difficult lockdown period. Sinéad felt it was only right to honour them with the wee county trophy covid community hero award

  • Ardee Litter watch
    Dave Lambe from Ardee started to notice an increase in litter building up around beauty spots in his local area in Ardee during his daily lockdown walks however rather than leaving it to someone else to sort he felt compelled to take action and restore his town to it's former beauty. He set up the Ardee litter watch group and told Sinéad that he has big plans for the group but needs local people to support him.

  • Social media influencer is not a real job local influencer, blogger and presenter Dawn Finnegan responds
    A tweet from a restaurant in Dublin exposing a social media influencer with over 100k followers who asked the restaurant for 'influencer rates' has now gone viral. The restaurant owner felt it was 'cheeky' in the current climate where businesses are re-opening and posted about it. Many responded to the tweet with nasty comments that influencers are 'stupid' 'brain-dead' and 'wouldn't know what real work is'. Drogheda based social media influencer, presenter, blogger and make up artist Dawn Finnegan speaks out about the negative backlash and gave Sinéad a realistic insight into her very busy schedule.
