  • Lap 47: Adair Lyden Talks About Running and Writing

Woo! We've finally got an interview episode for you, after entirely too long a wait. This week, we have Adair Lyden who's been running since middle school and is now at the University of Florida and preparing for her first marathon. She's also someone you may have seen around on Milesplit or somewhere else on your Twitter feed, as she's been known to write really great pieces about running too!

  • Shelby Houlihan (No, For Real, She's So Good!)

We were ahead of the curve on Shelby Houlihan titles for podcast episodes. We were inspired by her consistent dominance, so we're being pretty consistent with our titles.

We talked Paris and Lausanne, and then the Gold Coast Half and Marathon and the Peachtree Road Race, which was the USATF 10K Championships this year. We also included a quick interview we did with Alex Hutchinson a couple of weeks ago at the end!

  • Lap 45: Shelby Houlihan (She's So Good!)

On this episode, we recapped USATF Champs and Western States plus a 100km world record! We also talked about a couple of pieces of news from Des. We were planning on having a guest this week, but there were some logistical issues, so we're going to have them on in an upcoming episode!

Thanks so much for listening! Seeing that people download this and send us news and questions makes it all worthwhile. As always, get at us at @1609pod on social or [email protected] and be sure to check out other great pods on citiusmag.com!

  • Lap 44: Evan Has Very Big News

Let's be honest, you're all just trying to find out what the big news is, but I swear there's more to the podcast than just that! We talked about some some very long jumps in Ostrava, Grandma's Marathon results, a few events we're looking forward to at USATF Championships, the college coaching carousel, some new shoe reviews, and THEN Evan's big news.

  • Lap 43: Roger Regales Us with Road Running Tales

We had the absolute honor of having our friend Roger on, who's been running for...well, longer than either host has been alive. Roger's forgotten more about running than we could ever know and talked all about his career on the roads and the track (and the slopes too). We went pretty in depth on Oslo, Stockholm, Portland Track Fest, NCAA Championships and Comrades, so this is a pretty long episode.

  • Lap 42: Pre! Rome! Is Christian Coleman Going Home DEVASTATED?!

No, he's not. But we talked about his last two races on this week's episode! We also talked about the Tokyo 2020 marathon course reveal, the UW coach stepping down and all of the allegations around that and Roger wrote in to get our predictions on Soren Knudsen's sub-4 mile attempt at the Magis Miles meet (which will likely have already happened by the time you listen to this, so don't forget to check the results!)

  • Lap 41: Aaron's Debut (or Aaron pt. II)

We finally got to sit down with Aaron, who we first talked to on the shorter Boston podcast, about how he got started running and how he's progressed since then. We also talked about the San Francisco (or "Franny Pack") running scene and how it differs from what he's gotten used to in Boston over the last few years. We also got a couple of responses on the best/worst running advice you've ever gotten and we talked little bit of pro news too!
