Unlike blood family, we have control over who our friends are. And friends are like elevators, they are either bringing you down or taking you up.

In this episode I share part of my life in America, particularly in the choice of friends. I had to pay the price for missing it the first time in the company of wrong friends and from that I learnt that for your long-term success, you simply must choose the right friends!

Transitions can be bumpy, messy and sometimes outrightly hard!

I had to learn transitions the hard way while trying to settle in America, fresh from Kenya with my "Kenyan accent" and often battling loneliness. How big are your dreams? Do you share your dreams with specific people that God has put around you who can support you?

Time comes when there is need to identify who you are separate from family dynamics and the environment you grew up in. Such moments call for a reset or a refresh so that you can once again find yourself and find healing. And once you get to such a space, you'll be able to cultivate and nurture a solid identity based on your core values and beliefs.

In this episode, I share some vulnerable moments of my life growing up, the brokenness that existed and finally getting to a place where I knew my perspectives had to shift if at all I was going to fully live and enjoy every aspect of my life.
