More often than not, JC students find themselves in a situation where they have no choice but to JUST CHEONG (Hokkien term for Charge!) and try their utmost best to earn a reasonably good GCE 'A' Levels certificate. But is that enough, or the academic challenge barely even started for them?

Deemed as one of the most lax post-secondary tertiary institutions, Polytechnics have garnered their fair share of both positive and negative light over the years.

Some find Polytechnic students are just mere rejects of Junior Colleges. On the other hand, Polytechnic diplomas are deemed highly valuable as graduates possess both the academic knowledge and also the technical or practical know-how, allowing them to join the workforce as soon as they graduate.

The 2020 Formula 1 season was due to kick off with the Australian Grand Prix which was initially scheduled to take place between 12th to 15th March 2020. However, with the ongoing spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic, race organisers announced the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix on 13th March 2020. The race organisers reached a consensus with the 9 remaining F1 teams, following the withdrawal of the McLaren F1 team as a result of a staff member tested positive for the coronavirus. When the 2020 F1 Season will kick off and how the other races on the calendar will be affected is anyone's guess now.

However, due to proper intervention and measures implemented, we dropped to the lower ends of the global tally. The most recent government intervention has sparked some unhappiness in the local Muslim community when mosques island-wide were instructed to close for 5 days, from 13th to 18th March, which implies the cancellation of Friday Prayers on the 13th.
