Welcome back to The 96 Podcast. Episode 54.
Firstly apologies. After the huge crash I had at Cumbernauld at Round 3 of the 2025 BMX National Series, I have been in and out of hospitals and physio, combined with life continuing and this podcast has taken way longer than it should have done to record.
Anyway. We are back.
Episode 54 and we are reviewing rounds 3 & 4 of the 2025 Schwalbe British 4X Series from Afan in South Wales.
Joining me are our series commentators Hannah Escott and Pete Goddard (A.K.A Mop Head) to discuss what went on at this iconic venue.
Thank you to:
Bryn Bettws Lodge and Afan Trail Volunteers for making the venue perfect. Campbell Coaching for bringing the air bag. Our medics, marshals, officials and commissaires for their help over the weekend.

Episode 52.
We are still very much down but not out!
Join The 96 Podcast host Scott Beaumont (broken back) and our resident BMX pundit Julian Allen (broken foot) as they dissect rounds 5 and 6 of the 2025 Lloyds BMX National Series from Platt Fields in Manchester.
Plenty of action to cover both on track, at the finish and off track!
You'll need a long drive, big gym session, cup of tea or alcoholic drink for this one as it acts more of a counselling session for the broken boys mixed in with a race review.
Enjoy, like, share and please subscribe.
Well. That didn't go to plan!
Episode 51 and the boys are back. One has a broken back and the other has a broken foot!
A crash in practice for guest Julian Allen in Thursday practice meant a broken foot.
A crash in moto 1 for host Scott Beaumont left him with a broken back!
Aside from these two wobblers, the action was top drawer on track.
Now bear with us. The boys are injured and actually in some pain in this one so its a bit shorter than normal and a bit more of a skim through - basically because Scott missed both days and Jools missed Sunday.
As always. Enjoy, like, share and please please subscribe.
We are 50!
To celebrate our 50th episode, we are stoked to have Dean Harrison - Isle of Man TT winner join us.
Chatting about his life and career, Dean opens up about the feelings on the start of Isle of Man TT races.
A must listen!
