Creating life-lasting healthy habits does not need to be a difficult journey. In this episode, I share an important lesson I learned from James Clear's book "Atomic Habits" on how to break a bad habit. This is a technique I practice daily and it has helped me in creating new, healthy habits.
My son Malik recently turned one-year old. In his first year of life, he has taught me so many lessons about life, purpose and meaning. However, there is ONE big lesson that I needed amidst this pandemic and these uncertain times, and it is one that will help YOU tremendously. I share that lesson on today's episode.

I was recently listening to a brilliant conversation with Radhanath Swami and Jay Shetty on Jay's On Purpose podcast (watch that video here: https://youtu.be/eQQkYysZqVI)
In it, world-renowned spiritual leader and philanthropist Radhanath Swami shares an excellent lesson on how our life is similar to that of a surfer in the ocean; mainly, how he or she navigates the waves that come tumbling and crashing in front of them.
In this episode, I expand upon this teaching and share my own insight on how you must not be afraid of the ever-changing seasons of life.
You must allow all things to come and go, small or big.
You must understand that nothing is permanent.
You must realize that this too shall pass.
I am a huge advocate of mental health, and many of you who listen to me discovered me through my personal anxiety story videos.

Everyday I get between 10-15 messages from teens in Pakistan and India who confide in me with their mental health struggles.
The common thread between all the messages is one thing: Shame.
These kids are ashamed, embarrassed, and out right filled with guilt for simply having anxiety, depression, or other mental health related concerns.
First and foremost, there should never be any negative notions around anything mental health related; but this is where stigmas start.
In this video, I share some of these messages I receive along with my personal insight on the mental health stigma in the desi culture; namely in Pakistan and India

5 years since my last panic attack from my generalized anxiety disorder, I begin to experience severe symptoms of my anxiety; but something clicked in my brain right away to help me get through this bout quickly.
5 years ago I developed a set of tools and tricks to help me figure out my mind, my emotions, and my response to anxiety.
When my anxiety returned a few days ago, I used one of these powerful techniques and the symptoms went away completed in 1.5 days.
