For years, the idea of success was tied to hustle. The longer the hours, the greater the sacrifice, the more valid the ambition… or so it seemed. Think: 14-hour days, skipped meals, late-night emails. Exhaustion doesn’t equal effectiveness. In fact, the opposite often happens, and performance starts to plateau, and burnout creeps in.

 

It’s a pattern many professionals recognize. After too many late nights or costly mistakes made from fatigue, the realization hits…there has to be a smarter way to effectively work within ‘normal’ hours.

 

Turns out, there’s solid research behind it. A Harvard Business Review study found that taking regular breaks improves productivity, decision-making, and job satisfaction.
