It's time for a solo episode and a bonus episode all rolled into one! 2023 marks 30 years since the original teenagers with attitude first dawned the spandex clad suits and set out to save the world from evil space aliens! To commemorate that fact Hasbro and Netflix have given us Once and Always, a 55 minute special reunion, epilogue and potential setup for what's next for many of the characters that we last saw over 27 years ago. At the time of recording the MMPR special was number 3 on Netflix's US film charts and number 5 in the UK.

Naturally only I could make a two hour episode from a 55 minute special where I'm just talking to myself... I hope you enjoy it regardless!

Time for another "Conversation with" episode! Todays guest is none other than Jean-Paul Ly! Jean-Paul Ly is an award winning action actor based in London, from Chinese and Cambodian descent. He's also a critically acclaimed action designer, notably on Jailbreak (which won Best Action Feature at 2017 Fantasia Film Fest) and British action comedy feature Nightshooters (nominated at 2018 Raindance for Best UK Feature). We talk about both of these movies, his short film Speed Dating and a few things in between! Plus he gives us some info on a few projects you may be eagerly awaiting!

Originally starting off as a short film entrant for Power Morphicon's fan film contest this project continued on into a long running web show that is still continuing at the time of posting this episode. Today marks our first full journey into the land of Scott Adkins films! What better place to start than with his passion project, born from his childhood when he read the titular comic that this move is adapted from. Starring a veritable who's who of martial art greats this film really felt like a turning point in Scott's career that he was so close to having in 2012 but sadly didn't happen. So he called in a bunch of his friends including Director Jesse V Johnson and did it himself.

Joining me in today's episode we have returning champion Andy Gorham. He's previously been on to talk Righting Wrongs, The Batman, Navy Seals and Power Rangers 2017 and was long overdue for a new chat!

Today we are joined by Bede Jermyn the host of several podcasts that are mostly all found under the umbrella of The Super Network, which some of you will recognise from previous episodes that featured Super Marcey as my co host. I also joined them both for an episode of the Afterdark podcast to talk Striptease! 

Today however we are talking about the 2010 Sylvester Stallone film The Expendables, which brought together some of the biggest names in the action film genre all under one titanic production during a time when the traditional action film was thought dead at the box office. The film made a lot of money and put a number of its stars back in the spotlight. 

Indeed this was only the beginning for the mercenary company known as The Expendables, 2 more films would follow and at time of writing there is a 4th scheduled to come out soon.
